"It's really easy to open one-handed and walk through once you get the hang of it, though you do have to squeeze two buttons and then pull back so don't even bother trying to do that with anything in your hand."

"* This is a great product and I am very pleased with the performance. I have 5 dogs and this gate has a lock feature that catches. Plus it also is wide enough to fit into the wider interest in my home."

"* Love this for our little pups... it makes me feel so much better to leave our dogs with and area to walk around instead of being crated all day. We rent and I did not have to screw anything into the walls, the braces are tight enough without having to use the recommended braces."

"Would have given it 5 stars if the cat door wasn't so big. My super motivated 75 pound Bluetick Coonhound was able to fit through it!! I had to make some adjustments to make the cat door smaller."

"In fairness, my dog is a 12-pound mix between a corgi and a miniature dachshund (they're called dorgis, look it up because they're the most adorable little floofy things you've ever seen) so she's really short and can almost jump to the top of this gate, so a bigger dog with mad hops like a retriever with the Boots of Springheel Jack might be able to jump over it... It's really easy to open one-handed and walk through once you get the hang of it, though you do have to squeeze two buttons and then pull back so don't even bother trying to do that with anything in your hand... Just make sure you check the measurement on your doors before buying, since our old apartment had one door that was really narrow compared to the rest so this gate wouldn't fit in that one."

"She jumps as high as she can any time it's closed, hoping she can escape her prison, but alas, she is short, and her stumpy little legs won't propel her to the height she needs to be free. Maybe if she could find a pair of Michael Jordan's sneakers that had been struck by lightning she might have a chance, but for now she resigns herself to pushing her bed over right next to the gate and waiting patiently until my wife or I get home. In fairness, my dog is a 12-pound mix between a corgi and a miniature dachshund (they're called dorgis, look it up because they're the most adorable little floofy things you've ever seen) so she's really short and can almost jump to the top of this gate, so a bigger dog with mad hops like a retriever with the Boots of Springheel Jack might be able to jump over it... It comes with some hardware for mounting it more permanently, but we just use the pressure feet to hold it in place and it hasn't had any problems in the 10-ish months we've been using it. It's really easy to open one-handed and walk through once you get the hang of it, though you do have to squeeze two buttons and then pull back so don't even bother trying to do that with anything in your hand. Also it closes without needing to squeeze the buttons, which is nice so if you're carrying something you can just kick it shut once you walk through... Just make sure you check the measurement on your doors before buying, since our old apartment had one door that was really narrow compared to the rest so this gate wouldn't fit in that one."
