German made high quality, long lasting blades at about a fourth of the cost when you consider that I get a full two weeks on a blade that costs half of Gillette's insane prices."

"Not only did I think five blades (plus a precision trimmer, no less) was overkill, but the price for the cartridges was prohibitively expensive. Being a Mach 3 shaver Gillette Mach3 Shaving System, 1 System user, I thought having three blades was a bit much, too... I've never had a closer shave, and the shaving bumps and dryness you get from shaving five days a week temporarily disappeared... I've found that it's about two days too late using that method, and most guys simply know from experience when it's time to chuck the cartridge... You can use mineral oil as your shave cream, but a dull blade is like our president: it's still dull... ;) You will love this product, and like me probably continue buying it long after that lonesome cartridge has expired. But if anyone at Gillette reads these reviews, you aren't known in male circles as a equitable company, just a very profitable one."

I usually go over a week on a blade, but they start getting tougher to push through the beard near the end."

I can usually get through about 3 weeks before needing a new blade. I have found that cleaning the blade with HOT water after each shave lengthens the time between needing a replacement... I guess the goal it to impress you with the starter pack with a comfortable shave and blades that last weeks, then make the money off you with the pricey refills of lower quality that require more frequent replacement. I don't know whether this is evidence of that theory, or if these blades are not authentic... I had no problems getting a comfortable shave with the Pro Glide package, but haven't tried the Pro Glide refills either... Or skip all the chance, and continue stocking up on $4 Pro Glide razors when they go on sale here at Amazon every couple months."

While these are not the cheapest blades on the market, I get a week of comfortable shaves out of each blade, with the seventh being as crisp and free of dulling as the first... When I test the disposable blades we keep around for travel bags and guests, these are what those get compared with, and they set a high bar... Finally, unlike the packaging that Fusion blades come from big box/club stores in: these arrive in a simple and easy to open container: nice!"
