Ninja Coffee Bar Auto-iQ Programmable Coffee Maker with 6 Brew Sizes, 5 Brew Options, Milk Frother, Removable Water Reservoir and Glass Carafe (CF091)

Very Quick

"I should point out that the cups that came with my dinnerware will hold 11 ounces right up to the rim meaning they'll take a Ninja Cup but you're going to spill the coffee removing it from the machine, then you're going to have to dump some out and if you're like me and use milk you're going to have to dump even more."

"It keeps it drinkable for maybe an hour or two, but beyond that you re going to need to nuke your cup for a minute or so because it s just not hot anymore."

"It's a bit pricey in the initial purchase, but if you're a coffee drinker, you'll make up that money in no time if you're not paying $5 for a cup at a coffee house!"

"I'll have to guesstimate how/when to clean it and throw it away once the coffee starts brewing bad."

"Ninja is a good brand and I have some other products from them, I'm just not impressed with the durability of this product."

"I didn't expect this one, but it's nice not having to fill the carafe with water and then transfer it into some water tank."

"The different brew settings and sizes are great to have, it's a very well designed machine and worth the money."

"I should point out that the cups that came with my dinnerware will hold 11 ounces right up to the rim meaning they'll take a Ninja Cup but you're going to spill the coffee removing it from the machine, then you're going to have to dump some out and if you're like me and use milk you're going to have to dump even more... From what I can see it should make a decent flavored coffee but remember you're just sort of pretending that you're getting the same brew as you'd get from a coffee house. I'm not saying that's bad - the true coffee snobs will hate this feature but for the rest of us who are just looking for something that's quick and tastes OK then it's probably fine."

"* Edit: It s now been a few weeks since I received this appliance, and while I do still love it very much, and my original review still stands, I came back to dock a star and update my review to say that I m a bit disappointed in how long the carafe keeps the coffee hot. It keeps it drinkable for maybe an hour or two, but beyond that you re going to need to nuke your cup for a minute or so because it s just not hot anymore... I d been using a single serve brewer with some 97% biodegradable cups since I do try to be conscious of my impact on the environment, but Amazon took my cups off Subscribe and Save, so I decided it was time to ditch single serve altogether."

"It will push some out and then pause for awhile, but don't worry, that's how it's supposed to do... This coffee bar will make many different kinds of drinks including cold ones and will serve an iced coffee if that is your choice... It's a bit pricey in the initial purchase, but if you're a coffee drinker, you'll make up that money in no time if you're not paying $5 for a cup at a coffee house!"

"After just a few brews (with filtered water), the "clean" light came on... She would simply not let me speak and kept saying that maybe the machine's sensors were dirty and that might never go away and they would do nothing about it... I'll have to guesstimate how/when to clean it and throw it away once the coffee starts brewing bad."

"Single cup, travel mug, half pot, frother, over ice all make it a great way to get what I want each day for our family of six... Ninja is a good brand and I have some other products from them, I'm just not impressed with the durability of this product... Update: I have had the replacement base now for about 6 months and it leaked last night."

"* There are parts that were great, but the coffee came out tasting (majorly) bitter and that took away from everything else. Put simply, the coffee from this machine just tastes bad and it doesn't matter how many grounds you use or what brand of grounds... I didn't expect this one, but it's nice not having to fill the carafe with water and then transfer it into some water tank."

"The different brew settings and sizes are great to have, it's a very well designed machine and worth the money... The coffee I make with this machine tastes great and with the different settings I can make anything I want... Cleaning the machine is very easy, although I really hate how small the opening is on the carafes, unless you have tiny hands you won't be able to get them inside to clean the inside easily."

Less Quick

"I went for it anyway because I liked the idea of being able to make a carafe and single cups... Third, I don't know what the water temperature was when I made a pot of coffee but there was a noticeable burned coffee smell... At first I thought maybe it was just a smell from the new coffee maker but I brewed three pots and always got the same smell... I should point out that the cups that came with my dinnerware will hold 11 ounces right up to the rim meaning they'll take a Ninja Cup but you're going to spill the coffee removing it from the machine, then you're going to have to dump some out and if you're like me and use milk you're going to have to dump even more... The individual cups were OK but you'll need to make sure you have "cups" that are large enough to hold the brew...

It keeps it drinkable for maybe an hour or two, but beyond that you re going to need to nuke your cup for a minute or so because it s just not hot anymore... I can t say enough good things about this coffee maker... I d been using a single serve brewer with some 97% biodegradable cups since I do try to be conscious of my impact on the environment, but Amazon took my cups off Subscribe and Save, so I decided it was time to ditch single serve altogether... While I am not a coffee snob and can t tell you about the nuances of flavor in different brewing methods, I do like a good, strong cup of coffee, and I m a huge iced coffee and cold brew fan... I was so impressed with the flavor of the Over Ice brew option, and having so many size choices for both cold and hot drinks is a huge improvement over the single cup brewer I was using previously... Add some flavored syrup or try one of the easy to follow recipes in the included recipe book and you ve got a fantastic coffee treat that took you minutes to make and cost pennies compared to the drive-thru."

"It takes a bit of time to get the whole operation of making a specialty brew down pat, but once you do, it's heaven in a cup!... Don't get one without the built-in frother or you'll regret it... Then push specialty brew and it will pump out 4 oz... It will push some out and then pause for awhile, but don't worry, that's how it's supposed to do... Then put the cup under the frother and insert only till the coil is covered..... This coffee bar will make many different kinds of drinks including cold ones and will serve an iced coffee if that is your choice... It's a bit pricey in the initial purchase, but if you're a coffee drinker, you'll make up that money in no time if you're not paying $5 for a cup at a coffee house!"

"After just a few brews (with filtered water), the "clean" light came on... to make a long story short, each time the light came back on even faster... Since this has been described as the first symptom before the machine starts breaking and brewing badly, I called customer service... I guess they have been instructed to not accept ANY complaints on this matter since I imagine Ninja must be loosing money on these evidently defective machines. She would simply not let me speak and kept saying that maybe the machine's sensors were dirty and that might never go away and they would do nothing about it... I'll have to guesstimate how/when to clean it and throw it away once the coffee starts brewing bad... Do yourself a favor and deal with a company with some quality standards and some reputation."

"Single cup, travel mug, half pot, frother, over ice all make it a great way to get what I want each day for our family of six... Then over the past week I've found water on my counter under the unit each morning. I called costumer service and they knew exactly what was happening... They would send me a new base, none of the removable parts, for only $20 and I do not have to send them the leaking unit... Ninja is a good brand and I have some other products from them, I'm just not impressed with the durability of this product... Update: I have had the replacement base now for about 6 months and it leaked last night... I tried to contact them but for some reason the call keeps getting dropped before I talk to an actual person."

"* There are parts that were great, but the coffee came out tasting (majorly) bitter and that took away from everything else. Put simply, the coffee from this machine just tastes bad and it doesn't matter how many grounds you use or what brand of grounds... I also couldn't get the "clean" light to turn off, even after MANY times using the "clean/flush" process... - The carafe is designed well and it doesn't spill when you pour... I didn't expect this one, but it's nice not having to fill the carafe with water and then transfer it into some water tank... I'm a guy with medium-sized hands; there was no way my hand could get into the carafe to clean it. That was fixed by using an extended brush rather than a sponge, but it does make a difference in how easy it is to clean."

"The different brew settings and sizes are great to have, it's a very well designed machine and worth the money... Hot coffee brews nice and hot enough for everyone who I've had over for coffee. It might sound repetitive as other reviewers have probably said this, but I don't buy coffee at Starbucks or DD's anywhere near as I used to before buying this machine. The coffee I make with this machine tastes great and with the different settings I can make anything I want. Since I've had the machine, the only thing I usually buy at Starbucks these days is a bottle of caramel or vanilla syrup to make drinks on my Ninja at home... Cleaning the machine is very easy, although I really hate how small the opening is on the carafes, unless you have tiny hands you won't be able to get them inside to clean the inside easily. I would definitely suggest this machine to anyone or one of it's other models depending on your coffee needs."
