I have not had any issues with these hangers breaking (yet!... I read many reviews where people were unhappy about the black velvet "dust"... At first I didn't notice any dust, but to be safe I tapped them all on the countertop before use. When I did this, there actually was a coating of dust that came off, but it was far less than I expected after reading some of the reviews... I will be buying more of these hangers for the rest of the clothes in my closet!"

As far as durability, when I received my hangers NONE were broken. I also own similar Joy hangers which cost 5x more and I will admit these amazon ones are not as sturdy as the Joy ones, but it didn't concern me. So far I've hung shirts and a few coats with these and they are doing just fine. I wouldn't be shocked if i accidentally break a couple within a year but for the price I'm not worried. Overall great buy!"

Yes, this is immature and disgusting behavior, especially for an adult my age... They arrived today and I thought I would just gradually get my bedroom chair reclaimed by hanging up a few items every night after work. These hangers are so wonderful I started picking up and hanging clothes and was having so much FUN (yes, I really was! ) I got the chair and the closet floor completely cleared in less than an hour. I took all my discarded plastic and wire hangers and stuck them in the recycling bin. There was no dust coming off them, they're sturdy, they securely hold the flimsiest, thinnest tops and the heaviest coats and jackets."

The black velvet gives a very polished, classy look to my closet, and the slim hanger size allows me to fit 1. 5 to 2x as many clothes over the plastic hangers I was using. I do wish the circle part of the hanger (the actual hanging part) was a bit bigger - the hangers can be a bit snug and hard to "slide" back and forth on larger closet poles. It was also difficult to fit these hangers on the metal bar in my wardrobe boxes when I was moving (although I did ultimately fit them on the bar). Other than that though, I love these and would highly recommend them!
