Melissa & Doug Let's Play House Dust! Sweep! Mop! 6-Piece Pretend Play Set

Very Quick

"I am completely stumped as to why this tiny version of cleaning implements brings her so much joy, but I've stopped questioning it and have begun accepting the fact that I'm saying things to my daughter like "only 5 more minutes of sweeping the floor, honey," and "if you don't listen to Mommy, you'll have to put 'sweeper' away."

"* So cute and my 3 year old twins love to really use it."

"* As always, Melissa & Doug toys are high quality."

"She's still a little young to know what to do with all the tools, but she immediately loved hanging each item on the hooks, and she tried to sweep (backwards!"

"We haven't dunked the mop into water yet, but the broom, dust-pan, etc can all really be used and really keep him engaged while we are cleaning."

"* My 20 month old daughter loooves it!"

" The handles are made of real wood and are quite sturdy, the storage stand is well-crafted and has little notches to hang the brooms/mops from (and also doubles as a pretend microphone stand for a toddler), and the bristles are soft and sturdy. My husband actually used the broom and dustpan to clean our entryway when he couldn't find our "real" broom one night before company was coming over."

"* As always, Melissa & Doug toys are high quality. My granddaughter loves to help clean up. Now she has tools sized for her."

"* We purchased this as a birthday gift for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday. She's still a little young to know what to do with all the tools, but she immediately loved hanging each item on the hooks, and she tried to sweep (backwards!... I think she'll get lots of play value from this."

"We haven't dunked the mop into water yet, but the broom, dust-pan, etc can all really be used and really keep him engaged while we are cleaning... I really like that it is something he can incorporate into his pretend play (the other day he pretended to mop up some pretend spilled ice cream in the play kitchen) or take out to use during family cleaning time. It doesn't take up too much space, and he is easily able to hang up his cleaning supplies when he is done with them."

"* When our daughter's 2-year birthday was coming up, we noticed that all she ever seemed to want to play with were our kitchen and outdoor brooms. Being full-sized, these were of course too unwieldy and awkward, and she would end up knocking things off of counters or banging them into walls... She runs away from us when it's bedtime, maybe partially because she doesn't want to go to bed, but probably 90% because she can't bring the dang broom into her crib with her. I am completely stumped as to why this tiny version of cleaning implements brings her so much joy, but I've stopped questioning it and have begun accepting the fact that I'm saying things to my daughter like "only 5 more minutes of sweeping the floor, honey," and "if you don't listen to Mommy, you'll have to put 'sweeper' away. My husband actually used the broom and dustpan to clean our entryway when he couldn't find our "real" broom one night before company was coming over. The only downside was watching the disappointed face of her grandmother when our daughter completely ignored grandma's present of a little dollhouse in favor of waving her broom all over the place."

"You get a sturdy stand, a dust-brush and dust-pan, broom, mop, and duster... He kept asking for his own steam mop, and apparently toy steam mops do not exist (yet? ) but he's been really happy with this set nevertheless. We haven't dunked the mop into water yet, but the broom, dust-pan, etc can all really be used and really keep him engaged while we are cleaning... I really like that it is something he can incorporate into his pretend play (the other day he pretended to mop up some pretend spilled ice cream in the play kitchen) or take out to use during family cleaning time. This is great for imaginative kids who love pretend play but also would fit well into families who are setting up Montessori learning environments in the home."
