BUT the round part with the colorful wheel on it is paper made so it got more and more wet(she liked to crew it and her drool got there easily) finally we had to scratch the whole thing out so baby wouldn't eat little piece of paper or may be some glue! "the songs are great classical pieces (I can name most of them) and you get to hear two or three times more of the song than you would on any other toy (even other baby einsteins). I feel that this develops her attention span and ability to recognize a larger musical structure. The sound quality is great and there are different sounds for the melody and accompaniment parts. When our daughter was really little, we could always play this for her and she would calm down and listen -- but she never understood how to press the button on her own until about 10 months - she always wanted to press the lights instead! Now she loves to walk around pressing the button. The lights sync to the music rhythmically but they seem randomized.. it would be cool if they matched a pattern with the pitches, but that's not really a drawback for me personally."
