It truly is shocking what you will find in a room that your naked eye never sees... We have found that most bed covers have a lot of dust, and the dust ruffles on beds are often quite dirty... We don't stay in the most expensive places normally, but we stay in hotels which have high customer ratings and avoid the ones with low customer ratings. We check under all the mattresses for bed bugs to make sure we don't take those little critters home with us... I believe that ignorance is not bliss, especially when it comes to following other folks that we do not know into a living space they have occupied."

I was skeptical at first, I had no idea that a blacklight would show urine stains ( now I wish I had this when I stayed in motels).... (actually pretty sure I am glad I didn't) but have found all of the urine stains and have treated them. Recently our 17 year old cat passed away and we are getting 2 new kittens to take his place (I know- that is not really possible) but we are getting 2 new kittens and want to start with a clean slate... This way you can treat the areas where they have been "active" and change their habits. I am hoping we can start the kittens with a clean slate and keep them in their litter box where they belong."
"My sister bought one when she got a puppy and recommended it... I use Nature s Miracle in the red not white bottles (which I highly recommend) to clean up canine messes. I would have rather spent a couple more dollars for something that is better built and likely to last longer... I checked the batteries and they were fine and was confused why it wasn't working... So after unscrewing the bulb chamber and cleaning it out and reasssembling it the light finally worked how I expected it to. I shouldn't have had to do this and instead the company should be checking for quality before they send out a product... Edit: just checked again and light wouldn't turn on unless I pressed the lens with my finger (see photo)."

When I turned it on, in a completely dark (black) room which was about 20 feet long..... I was able to see everything that needed to be cleaned. You may or may not want to know this but..... I recommend this for any law enforcement person that may need a light like this."

The flashlight works great in complete and total darkness, and I was shocked at all of the places that lit up. With the weather turning humid and what ever had held down the problem till now gone we had a problem... The amount of stains clearly made it obvious it was our cats we had been worried as they are both older and some times older cats break training on this. Not the light's fault but after recleaning the carpets and using a baking soda deodorizer it was clear we will need to replace the carpet and padding. After cleaning the room was odor free for a few days but using the light we could see there were no new spots so it will be replace the carpet soon."
