"and if it feels like you re pounding your feet down when you walk, these Keen soles are probably too hard for you as well.""* I purchased my first pair of Keen sandals about two years ago, and then pretty much proceeded to live in them for the next two years."
"I have owned fifteen pairs over the years always lasting at least a year of heavy wearing both on the trail and in the water."
"They are a good bit wider than the Keen Clear Water CNX, which is good if you are looking for a bit more stability, but it does add a little bit of bulk, but I would still not consider them to be "bulky" - they are pretty lightweight."
"I've never had any trouble with fitting--truly, I could comfortably purchase a women's size 9 1/2 or a men's size 8 without trying them on and they'd fit great and I'd love them."
"I thought the older original and sized up would probably be the best fit for him best based on reviews I'd read, but it was these lighter lower profile sandals in his actual size (not the sized up pair) that fit him spot on!."
"If you like them "relaxed" (ie, don't fall off your feet, but can be kicked off without using your hands), maybe look at going a full size bigger."

"I thought about adding an insert for padding, but with the somewhat open heel, I thought the insert might shift around too much... They re a little hard to get on, but you quickly get used to pulling that back strap really hard to get them over your heel... and if it feels like you re pounding your feet down when you walk, these Keen soles are probably too hard for you as well.""* I purchased my first pair of Keen sandals about two years ago, and then pretty much proceeded to live in them for the next two years... The design of these sandals has changed quite a bit, and it may not be obvious to you from the photos that are provided... Very sad when you have a product that you really liked the design of, you buy it again, and then you find out that it now a very unattractive shoe."
"I have owned fifteen pairs over the years always lasting at least a year of heavy wearing both on the trail and in the water... My previous pair before this one started coming apart at the seems after only 3 months of wear... This seem has always been a weak point, but I ve always been able to get at least a year out of them."
"This was the one that I had hoped to keep because it would provide more protection against sunburn than the other two, but the fact that it wouldn't stay on my heel was the deal breaker for me... It fits great, it feels good, it will stay-put on my narrow heel (although I believe it will still be comfortable even if your heels aren't narrow), it has a bit of arch support, and the sole has enough thickness to provide protection from rougher terrain. They are a good bit wider than the Keen Clear Water CNX, which is good if you are looking for a bit more stability, but it does add a little bit of bulk, but I would still not consider them to be "bulky" - they are pretty lightweight."
"* I've been wearing Keens since they first hit the market in the early 2000s... I've never had any trouble with fitting--truly, I could comfortably purchase a women's size 9 1/2 or a men's size 8 without trying them on and they'd fit great and I'd love them... After this experience I looked at reviews and see others are suddenly experience fit and quality issues with Keens."
"This is saying a lot because he's a forester, is in some kind of boot most of the time, and has tried them all... I thought the older original and sized up would probably be the best fit for him best based on reviews I'd read, but it was these lighter lower profile sandals in his actual size (not the sized up pair) that fit him spot on!... A Plus is that these sandals ventilate well, and also cover up his bruised up toenails that he gets from year round field work on steep terrain in cleated hiking boots."
"* I bought my first pair of Keen sandals ten years ago, and have loved them ever since. I needed something that was sandal-like, but offered a little more toe protection... If you like them "relaxed" (ie, don't fall off your feet, but can be kicked off without using your hands), maybe look at going a full size bigger."

"I should have worn socks the first long walk to stretch these out a little and smooth any rough spots... I tried different walking styles and wore the sandals around the house to get them broken in... I thought about adding an insert for padding, but with the somewhat open heel, I thought the insert might shift around too much... Not only did my hips do just fine, but the arch tendon feels just as good as when I started the walk... Other than the hard sole of the Keen s: Both the Teva s and the Keen s are great looking and feeling hiking sandals... This is great if you have a wide foot, but not so great if you don't... It is perhaps less noticeable if you get a model that is in black, but even on a dark blue model you now notice the front rubber immediately... As soon as I find something that is a bit closer to the old design, this pair is unlikely to see the light of day. Very sad when you have a product that you really liked the design of, you buy it again, and then you find out that it now a very unattractive shoe... As scruffy as the old pair looks, I think they still look better than this new pair."
"I have owned fifteen pairs over the years always lasting at least a year of heavy wearing both on the trail and in the water... My previous pair before this one started coming apart at the seems after only 3 months of wear... However after a year or so I missed having them and broke down and bought another pair. Well they were great for about a week. After wearing them all week at a boyscout summer camp they too began to come apart. This seem has always been a weak point, but I ve always been able to get at least a year out of them. I can not justify the price if I m only going to get three months out of them, let alone a week.!"
"While I liked all three, I kept these and sent the other two back for the following reasons: The Keen Clear Water CNX is very lightweight, feels nice, and fits like a glove with no extra bulk at all... Since they are fairly adjustable, they will fit a medium width (D) foot too, but I doubt they would fit a wide (E) foot... The Merrell All Out Blaze Sieve is sort of like a shoe that has drainage slots along the bottom edge; whereas, the other two are made up of a series of straps - like sandals. The Merrell All Out Blaze Sieve has a lot of the characteristics of the Keen Newport H2 Sandal, which I ultimately picked, but if you have narrow heels (like me) then you will probably step out of it, as I did. This was the one that I had hoped to keep because it would provide more protection against sunburn than the other two, but the fact that it wouldn't stay on my heel was the deal breaker for me... It fits great, it feels good, it will stay-put on my narrow heel (although I believe it will still be comfortable even if your heels aren't narrow), it has a bit of arch support, and the sole has enough thickness to provide protection from rougher terrain. I've never had any trouble with fitting--truly, I could comfortably purchase a women's size 9 1/2 or a men's size 8 without trying them on and they'd fit great and I'd love them. This year it was time to replace some antique Newports... Ordered up a half size--still too tight... They feel stiffer and snugger than expected, but they work and I'm fine with black. After this experience I looked at reviews and see others are suddenly experience fit and quality issues with Keens. I do hope they get things under control ASAP, this is a company I've always felt good about supporting."
"* Bought these as a gift for my husband who loves his Keen hiking boots so much that he bought a back-up pair of Keen boots. This is saying a lot because he's a forester, is in some kind of boot most of the time, and has tried them all. He has hard feet to size footwear for, as they're wide and also flat. Since this Keen brand seemed to work so well for him, I ordered 2 variations of these sandals (as well as 2 sizes of each) as a bday gift, so he'd be able to choose the best fit... I thought the older original and sized up would probably be the best fit for him best based on reviews I'd read, but it was these lighter lower profile sandals in his actual size (not the sized up pair) that fit him spot on!... So happy these worked out -- they look great (not too hulkish), and he loves them!
I bought the H2's with the idea that I'd be using them in more wet environments. They are very comfortable, and I've even done some light hiking in them. I do find that they tend to fit small, for my taste. I usually wear a US size 9 in athletic shoes, but find I need to order a 10 in the H2's to get the fit I like... If you like them "relaxed" (ie, don't fall off your feet, but can be kicked off without using your hands), maybe look at going a full size bigger."
