"I bought my original Reefs years ago because besides comfort and fit, the were the only flip flops that didn't slip.""Background: I ve worn Reef s smoothy sandals for about 8 years and and my 2nd pair are starting to show their age because you can now see where the strap is attached on the sandal bottom!"
"I've been wearing sandals for 42 years and these are the biggest disappointment I've blindly purchased."
"They were way too small for and I was going to return them but my other son was able to use them as he wears a smaller size."
"When I wore my pair of new sandals for the first time they were uncomfortably tight but eventually became comfortable after a few days use(the leather pile material adjusts)."
"* This is the second pair of sandals that I've had from Reef that have broken."
"I bought these for a cruise and was a little worried that I did't have time to break them in, but they performed great--no blisters, no fatigue, even after walking several miles a day."

"I bought my original Reefs years ago because besides comfort and fit, the were the only flip flops that didn't slip... This never happened with my other Reefs. I have no idea about the science of slippage, but these fail.""Reefs are still more comfortable and better styled compared to most other flip-flops... Neutral: - the non-slip surface is obviously less smooth feeling on the foot than the smoothy sandal, but I suppose this will help keep my foot from slipping out when wet. Background: I ve worn Reef s smoothy sandals for about 8 years and and my 2nd pair are starting to show their age because you can now see where the strap is attached on the sandal bottom!"
"* I bought the $50 Reef sandals with the bottle opener on the bottom of the sandals 2 years ago in Newport Beach, CA and they lasted for almost 2 years... I suggest buying one size down than you usually do but I actually suggest you not buy these at all. I've been wearing sandals for 42 years and these are the biggest disappointment I've blindly purchased."
"* My youngest son needed new flip flops and his old pair were Reefs so we ordered these. They were way too small for and I was going to return them but my other son was able to use them as he wears a smaller size. My advice is to order one size larger than you wear."
"* I bought a pair half a size below since they only had full numbers(eg... When I wore my pair of new sandals for the first time they were uncomfortably tight but eventually became comfortable after a few days use(the leather pile material adjusts). After using them for the last 2 months they feel really comfortable and are very light in weight."
"* This is the second pair of sandals that I've had from Reef that have broken... They are very poorly made with cheap glue and cheap material. They are comfortable though but I have barely gotten 3 months use out of both pair."
"* Very comfortable. I bought these for a cruise and was a little worried that I did't have time to break them in, but they performed great--no blisters, no fatigue, even after walking several miles a day. The inside of the strap is a soft material that prevents rubbing against the skin, and the sole provides just the right amount of cushion and support."

"* So the price and quality are good, typical Reefs... I bought my original Reefs years ago because besides comfort and fit, the were the only flip flops that didn't slip... Far better than any of the others I tried on. Let's face it, these are meant to be worn on the beach or by the pool... To my surprise I didn't even make it out of my house without slipping on some water on my tile. This never happened with my other Reefs. I have no idea about the science of slippage, but these fail.""Reefs are still more comfortable and better styled compared to most other flip-flops. Pros: - Reef style is one of the better ones for flip-flops - arch support and cushion is good- important since I live in my flip-flops in the summer... Cons: - the strap was tight at first and definitely caused some discomfort for several days until they loosened up... That means my heel strike is not in the center of the footbed, but slightly off-center. Neutral: - the non-slip surface is obviously less smooth feeling on the foot than the smoothy sandal, but I suppose this will help keep my foot from slipping out when wet. Background: I ve worn Reef s smoothy sandals for about 8 years and and my 2nd pair are starting to show their age because you can now see where the strap is attached on the sandal bottom!... The color options for the smoothy are now black, or if you don t like that, you can order dark grey."
"* I bought the $50 Reef sandals with the bottle opener on the bottom of the sandals 2 years ago in Newport Beach, CA and they lasted for almost 2 years. I didn't want to spend $50 again and bought these brown pair for $26. After 4 days of wearing them, the top layer of each sandal has wrinkled in 3 areas around the toes... I'm positive they'll not last 1 year... A size 10 is not like the 10 I bought 2 years ago but more like a size 11. I suggest buying one size down than you usually do but I actually suggest you not buy these at all. I've been wearing sandals for 42 years and these are the biggest disappointment I've blindly purchased."
