"The helmet looks so authentic, it was the best part of the costume, and now we use it for decoration in his football themed room. It was a little big on my little guy, I think it would fit 4-5 year olds a little better but people thought he was so cute in his too big helmet. The pants were great cause they had elastic on the bottom so even though they were just an inch or two too big they stayed put on his ankles. He usually just wears the jersey as a shirt or when playing outside or pretending. The pants get little use now unless he s humoring me and I want him to put on the whole uniform... I machine washed it cold, but did not put it in the dryer, I just let it air dry. Ironing the number on the back was a little bit difficult and took longer than expected, but it was so worth it... I followed the instructions for ironing the number that came with the costume but it took me way longer than the instructions said it would. The time it took to do it was the only difference (it took me 3 times as long as it said it would), but everything else that the instructions said was exactly what I did. My son got a LOT of compliments when he wore it for Halloween and the other day he wore it just to go grocery shopping with me and he got lots of attention from shoppers at the the grocery store!"

The jersey is a light mesh fabric, you can always buy a more realistic one if you want. The shoulder pads fit nicely in the jersey and the pants look like real ones the big guys on Sunday wear. Be aware the pants are a little thin, and my son needed athletic shorts on under so you couldn't see his underpants... It was just what my little football player wanted and it gives him plenty of room to grow into it. We haven't had a Sunday go by when he wasn't dressed up watching the games with dad."
