I had hoped that after I wore these for a while they would break in and feel better... The leather they use now isn't soft like before and it is feels thinner than before... One of the great features about these shoes used to be that the inside liners fully lined the whole shoe and were of very high quality. So these shoes didn t stick to your feet when if your feet was damp... One is well over 10 years old and still going but it's past time to retire."

After a week, they're damn comfortable and last for years... The trouble is that the insole of the shoe (it's a dark/medium blue) stained my white socks. I'm sure this is 100% similar to what happens with new denim jeans. Sperry TS should find a way to wear out the insole before putting it in the shoe."

Having tried many other brands, and frankly other styles of TopSider, this is the shoe for me. The old pair and the new shoes are both made in China, but with much different results. As noted by several other reviewers, the insole only extends halfway up from the heel... I have narrow, flat feet, and am not able to wear the new ones as long as I can with the old shoes.
