"I'm not going to return them because it's not a big deal, the width fit perfectly and I got medium width (I don't think you can order a different width on this pair but I don't know I haven't looked) and I have skinny-ish feet but medium width is what I get in every other shoe I wear.""In fact, the sidewall of the sole still ends up separating from the canvas at the ball of my foot, long before the shoes are worn out."
"I have Adidas running shoes that log thousands of miles a year that will last a solid 2-3 years before the tread is completely worn out (but the shoes are otherwise intact)."
"I went to a Macy's (because they are one of the VERY few places that carry half sizes in converse but have a pretty limited color selection) and tried on different sizes until I found the one that fit most comfortably."
"I do rotate shoes so I normally don't wear the same everyday for an extended period of time but they still hold up great."
"I echo everyone else when I say order a half size down from what you would be normally and they will fit perfectly with the right amount of room between your toe and the tip of the shoe."
"I'm normally a 7 in women's, ordered the 5 in men's which were a little big but after adding my insert they fit just right :) Loves these as I can wear with shorts, skirt, jeans or a dress."

"I didn't heed the warning about the size because some people these shoes fit true to size, putting them on, I probably could have gone a half size down if I wanted a tighter fit ( I wear an 11 in women's normally and I ordered a men's 9, but I could've gone down to a 10... 5 mens) but they don't feel too lose as if they will fall off when I walk or like I'll trip on my face because of the front sticking out too much. I'm not going to return them because it's not a big deal, the width fit perfectly and I got medium width (I don't think you can order a different width on this pair but I don't know I haven't looked) and I have skinny-ish feet but medium width is what I get in every other shoe I wear.""So rather than going DOWN a half-size (as most people recommend) I tend to go UP a half size, to accommodate my hobbit-like feet... In fact, the sidewall of the sole still ends up separating from the canvas at the ball of my foot, long before the shoes are worn out... I wouldn't want to run a mile in them, but they're plenty comfy to wear all day."
"I designed my own pair on the Converse website, but the shipped price for a custom pair of Chucks is about 3 times the cost of the regular off-the-rack All Stars... I have Adidas running shoes that log thousands of miles a year that will last a solid 2-3 years before the tread is completely worn out (but the shoes are otherwise intact)... If you are looking for a well designed and comfortable pair of shoes for walking or running, look elsewhere - hopefully at something modern designed after 2010 and not 100 years ago."
"In converse you usually need to order a whole size down but in my case I only needed a half size down... I went to a Macy's (because they are one of the VERY few places that carry half sizes in converse but have a pretty limited color selection) and tried on different sizes until I found the one that fit most comfortably... Once you figure out what size you are take note and come back here so you can have a wide selection of colors to choose from and half sizes if needed!"
"Since I bought my very first pair of converse, black high tops the price of them have gone up by about ten dollars... I've tried them in my size and a full size smaller and both did not work for me... I do rotate shoes so I normally don't wear the same everyday for an extended period of time but they still hold up great."
"I echo everyone else when I say order a half size down from what you would be normally and they will fit perfectly with the right amount of room between your toe and the tip of the shoe. I was very nervous because ordering shoes online and a half size down but trust me, everyone is right about it!... I also have a rather wide and boxy foot with a tall arch and was concerned if they would fit well but they really don't seem to bother it."
"Loves my Chucks :) Forcthe record Converse Chuck Taylor's only come in Men size which can be unisex as women can order men's sneakers 2 sizes smaller than your normal size... However since no support if you are like me and use an insert then 2 size smaller should fit you just right. I'm normally a 7 in women's, ordered the 5 in men's which were a little big but after adding my insert they fit just right :) Loves these as I can wear with shorts, skirt, jeans or a dress."

"They're my favorite everyday knockabout shoe for jeans or shorts... They tend to run about a half-size big in length... So rather than going DOWN a half-size (as most people recommend) I tend to go UP a half size, to accommodate my hobbit-like feet. I end up with about an inch of headroom at the toe, but the shoe doesn't slide around or anything. In fact, the sidewall of the sole still ends up separating from the canvas at the ball of my foot, long before the shoes are worn out... I wouldn't want to run a mile in them, but they're plenty comfy to wear all day... I moved the inserts from a fancy-pants pairs of Chucks over to a pair of slip-ons, and I have to admit, it's pretty nice.""The people in their 30s or older tend to immediately identify these with shoes they wore as kids, but the younger (20-30 crowd) seem to find these to be "hip" shoes. My unbiased opinion (having never worn Chucks as a kid because they were too expensive) is that they are uncomfortable, heavy, and have an antiquated design... I designed my own pair on the Converse website, but the shipped price for a custom pair of Chucks is about 3 times the cost of the regular off-the-rack All Stars... I have Adidas running shoes that log thousands of miles a year that will last a solid 2-3 years before the tread is completely worn out (but the shoes are otherwise intact)... If you are looking for a well designed and comfortable pair of shoes for walking or running, look elsewhere - hopefully at something modern designed after 2010 and not 100 years ago. The saving grace is that somehow, the thick and stiff soles seem to provide almost barefoot-like feel to the ground... Overall: 3/5 stars, cheap materials, overpriced, not durable, but provides extremely sensitive feel for surfaces - almost like walking barefoot."
"Shipping was VERY fast, they even came in a day earlier than the estimated delivery date... Depending on the lighting it can look like a very soft blue or a mint green which I think is really cool. In converse you usually need to order a whole size down but in my case I only needed a half size down. If you're worried about ordering the wrong size just do what I did before you order. I went to a Macy's (because they are one of the VERY few places that carry half sizes in converse but have a pretty limited color selection) and tried on different sizes until I found the one that fit most comfortably. I normally wear a size 8 in pretty much all shoes however in converse I wear a 7... Once you figure out what size you are take note and come back here so you can have a wide selection of colors to choose from and half sizes if needed!"
"Since I bought my very first pair of converse, black high tops the price of them have gone up by about ten dollars... In years of trial and error with converse I have their sizing down to a science. Low tops feel better a half size down from my normal shoe size. I've tried them in my size and a full size smaller and both did not work for me... Don't ask why that's just how they work for me... Besides that, the shoe is wonderfully made and last me years. I do rotate shoes so I normally don't wear the same everyday for an extended period of time but they still hold up great."
"I echo everyone else when I say order a half size down from what you would be normally and they will fit perfectly with the right amount of room between your toe and the tip of the shoe. I was very nervous because ordering shoes online and a half size down but trust me, everyone is right about it! The only problem I found with the shoes is that the laces are a little short for me. The top of my foot is pretty tall and I will have to get some longer laces at some point... I also have a rather wide and boxy foot with a tall arch and was concerned if they would fit well but they really don't seem to bother it... Keeping them clean is a little bit of a challenge, but I have heard you can wash them in a washing machine. If you are thinking about getting them don't hesitate because they are definitely worth it!"
