"I just wish they would make these in more color combinations to get contrasting shoes to have to interchange for times when walking is constant and you want to give one pair a chance to air out.""Have only taken them for a short run but they already look to be a better fit than the last '20s' because of the much better padding all around on this second-gen design."
"I ordered these after a recommendation that they were the BEST running show to wear without having to swap in "Orthotic Inserts" since I have them for pronation issues."
"I highly recommend going to a local running shop or podiatrist to find out how your feet hit the ground before buying any running shoe."
"I'm prefacing this review with the caveat that from the Kayano 11-21 my brand new shoes are always uncomfortable, unlike my Trabuco-Fujis, which were comfy right out of the box."
"Everyone likes different things about shoes, but if you want real comfort, and high quality then this shoe is worth the toe box issue."
"I was wearing a brand from the guys with the swoosh, but they were hurting my feet."

"I am able to walk all day in these shoes and come home and not have to deal with the heel pain I have been dealing with for years (and now maybe the plantar fascia can heal up!... Goodbye to New Balance, Nike and Mizuno (although Mizuno Wave Rider wasn't bad overall, just left me experiencing issues with the Morton's toe after a day of wearing them). I just wish they would make these in more color combinations to get contrasting shoes to have to interchange for times when walking is constant and you want to give one pair a chance to air out.""Well-designed shoes that offer a very modern look and improve on the Kayano 20 in just about every way if you are looking for comfort... Have only taken them for a short run but they already look to be a better fit than the last '20s' because of the much better padding all around on this second-gen design... Other people seem to vary here, but my foot measures very close to an actual 11 and most 11s fit my foot perfectly, without much room to sacrifice either way."
"I ordered these after a recommendation that they were the BEST running show to wear without having to swap in "Orthotic Inserts" since I have them for pronation issues... Well, it does not allow your muscles in the foot & legs to get used to or placid with regards to a certain shoe & it's characteristics & "Fit"... but this purchase & this shoe seems to be well worth it & live up to the recommendation that it's one of the very BEST "Support" shoes for running without the need for corrective orthotic inserts!."
"I highly recommend going to a local running shop or podiatrist to find out how your feet hit the ground before buying any running shoe... The gel sole distributes the pressure throughout my foot, so I don't get any pain in my heel or in the ball of my foot. My arches are completely supported and I feel like the shoe is holding my foot snug, but not tight."
"I'm prefacing this review with the caveat that from the Kayano 11-21 my brand new shoes are always uncomfortable, unlike my Trabuco-Fujis, which were comfy right out of the box... After about 24 miles they usually feel much better... That being said, this pair, after one 6 mile run, pinched the least in the toe box of any pair I've had."
"My general foot shape is more rounded and my toes are round rather than flat so this issue affected me perhaps more than others. I normally wear a size 9 in almost all shoes, but I also bought a 9 1/2 so I could figure out which fit best... Everyone likes different things about shoes, but if you want real comfort, and high quality then this shoe is worth the toe box issue."
"New to running, but by FAR the most comfortable shoes ever. I was wearing a brand from the guys with the swoosh, but they were hurting my feet... There was another guy at the store ranting about how much he loves the shoes too."

"I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis in my left foot that developed after breaking my toe and me having to walk out of normal stride for an extended period of time... I wasn't sure about the sizing as I have feet just wide enough to make a medium width uncomfortable in the shoe that may be a little narrow... I am able to walk all day in these shoes and come home and not have to deal with the heel pain I have been dealing with for years (and now maybe the plantar fascia can heal up!... They are pricey, but so are Air Max shoes and I have bought a few pairs of those over the years hoping to find something with enough cushion to help me out with the pain... I am so impressed with these I am looking for another pair in the 19 or 20 series because this is the best color of the 21 series and I am looking for something else I can wear with jeans or shorts no matter the season... Clearly, if they do hold up, these make obsolete any other pair of Kayano ASICS I have tried... Other people seem to vary here, but my foot measures very close to an actual 11 and most 11s fit my foot perfectly, without much room to sacrifice either way... I also despise quick lacing systems and thankfully these have normal laces like most of this brand's shoes... If you take just about every nitpick with the 20 and then fix those problems, it seems you have the 21. IMHO, it's going to be very hard to convince me you can improve these shoes next year with anything of as much significance as this year."
"I ordered these after a recommendation that they were the BEST running show to wear without having to swap in "Orthotic Inserts" since I have them for pronation issues... seems Orthotic's can become user-dependent and the muscles that would correct a weak arch or area prone to pronation are not thus exercised due to the orthotic's "Correcting" or bracing the weakened area. My Feet & Legs & Calf Muscles are not as weary as they usually are and my feet certainly are NOT "Burning" in the least!! So, the recommendation was to use a variety of 3 different types of Shoes & levels of "Support" all for walking/running however observing the following scheme: 1 - for using your orthotic inserts... 1 - (Like this one, the ASICS) that offers absolute support & with built-ins to help compensate for not having to use orthotic inserts...
"I had to do physical therapy about 8 months ago for some fluid behind my knee and this was identified as a problem. I highly recommend going to a local running shop or podiatrist to find out how your feet hit the ground before buying any running shoe... I wanted to be sure whatever I purchased would fit my feet as well as it possibly could... My first run was the first run in 2 years where I had no knee pain. My legs felt like they had energy they never had before... The gel sole distributes the pressure throughout my foot, so I don't get any pain in my heel or in the ball of my foot. My arches are completely supported and I feel like the shoe is holding my foot snug, but not tight."
"I'm prefacing this review with the caveat that from the Kayano 11-21 my brand new shoes are always uncomfortable, unlike my Trabuco-Fujis, which were comfy right out of the box. My feet are shaped like a duck's feet and this is a perennial challenge for me. After about 24 miles they usually feel much better. Perhaps the Kayano 22s will be better with the toe box re-design they are planning. That being said, this pair, after one 6 mile run, pinched the least in the toe box of any pair I've had. They are cushier in the sole than any previous pair... I plan to stick with the Gel Kayanos going forward."
"I've been wearing Kayanos for many years... The best way I can describe it is that it feels thinner from top to bottom than other versions. My general foot shape is more rounded and my toes are round rather than flat so this issue affected me perhaps more than others. I normally wear a size 9 in almost all shoes, but I also bought a 9 1/2 so I could figure out which fit best... The 9 1/2 is a little too long, but it's not a major issue... The cushioning feels great- especially compared to the 20s which, IMO, were too thin overall. Everyone likes different things about shoes, but if you want real comfort, and high quality then this shoe is worth the toe box issue."
"New to running, but by FAR the most comfortable shoes ever. I was wearing a brand from the guys with the swoosh, but they were hurting my feet. From the minute I put these on they've been incredible. Everyone is correct though that you probably want a half-size larger. I tried them on at the local sporting goods store first and found my size then saved enough by buying them on Amazon to take my wife to dinner. There was another guy at the store ranting about how much he loves the shoes too... It was bad enough I was using their store to try them on, I didn't want to steal away their customers by telling him to use Amazon."
