SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress with ComfortCoil Technology Internal High Capacity Pump

Very Quick

"Too many times I am sure to the point where you probably do not think much about trying to have something fixed when it breaks since the shipping can be more than the value of the product, not to mention the time and aggravation trying to get a RMA for the product."

"Nonetheless, the first night I needed a small top-off from the built-in pump for about 10 seconds to get back to my desired firmness."

"I had my own doubts about using an air mattress as I owed one YEARS ago having to either blow or pump with your feet that was something I wasn't looking forward to do AT ALL."

"I have a cordless electric mower and you would think that would be quiet, but really it sounds like a big loud fan, only slightly quieter than a gasoline model, there is just no getting around it I think if you are going to move a lot of air."

"Having owned my fair share of air mattresses over the years my experience with these companies is that they do not want to be bothered after a sale basically you are on your own after purchase."

"Much more comfortable than the average airbed, but it is still an airbed and anyone that has ever used one understands they are no where near the comfort level of a real bed, obviously."

"Obviously the company does not intend for this to be your main bed the way we are using it, but i know it had a year warranty, and i've read enough good reviews on the customer service to feel confident any issues will be resolved quickly."

Quick

"Too many times I am sure to the point where you probably do not think much about trying to have something fixed when it breaks since the shipping can be more than the value of the product, not to mention the time and aggravation trying to get a RMA for the product. Imagine my surprise when I received not only two e-mails, but a phone call from the president of the company on SUNDAY because he was concerned about my issue with his product!... The bed is comfortable when it is inflated fully as long as you put a pad (I used a two inch memory foam top) to cover up the rolls on the top of the bed."

"My first night with the product I feel as though the PVC stretched slightly, but not nearly as much as other brands I have used in the past - perhaps 5% at most. Nonetheless, the first night I needed a small top-off from the built-in pump for about 10 seconds to get back to my desired firmness... Standard queen sized sheets fit on the mattress decently well, although after continued use I noticed them starting to fall off."

"I had my own doubts about using an air mattress as I owed one YEARS ago having to either blow or pump with your feet that was something I wasn't looking forward to do AT ALL... I Googled them to see if they were indeed a real company (hey you never know) and it was a small business more like mom and pops which I liked a lot and without hesitation I ordered... My parents were asking me to test it and see if I liked it or whatnot but the box was small enough and it wasn't heavy to me that I decided not to use it/try it until I got to the hotel."

"I admit I was a bit afraid of exploding it since I didn't know if I would put too much air in before it felt hard enough, but that turned out not to be a problem... I have a cordless electric mower and you would think that would be quiet, but really it sounds like a big loud fan, only slightly quieter than a gasoline model, there is just no getting around it I think if you are going to move a lot of air... Well, I didn't have to, the founder of the company wrote me a personal note to make sure everything was in order and as I mentioned not finding the kit, they are going to send me one."

"Having owned my fair share of air mattresses over the years my experience with these companies is that they do not want to be bothered after a sale basically you are on your own after purchase... The rep said that the mattresses are made from PVC, a plastic material that naturally stretches, and that stretching was normal during the first couple of uses (evidently SoundAsleep does something during production to minimize this stretching). The rep suggested that this natural stretching was likely the cause and that I should deflate the mattress fully, reinflate one more time and then try it for one more night."

"It doesn't auto-inflate itself when pressure gets low like some but it's very quick and easy to just flip the switch to inflate it for a few seconds if it loses air... Much more comfortable than the average airbed, but it is still an airbed and anyone that has ever used one understands they are no where near the comfort level of a real bed, obviously... The room I'm staying in, while I'm at work it is pretty cold, then I come home and turn on a space heater, and keep that on throughout the night (thermostat driven so it's not constantly blowing), so even through the temperature fluctuations and my sleeping on it, it's not losing much."

"Obviously the company does not intend for this to be your main bed the way we are using it, but i know it had a year warranty, and i've read enough good reviews on the customer service to feel confident any issues will be resolved quickly... (such a great idea) Raised lip around the edge - Other air mattresses may have seemed larger, but the edge always has give to it beings that it is filled with air... Cons: Sheets - While our fitted sheet has stayed firmly in place, there is no way to tuck in upper sheets/blankets, so there will be the inevitable moments of having to re-adjust all the sheets that have balled up on top of the bed."

Less Quick

"Too many times I am sure to the point where you probably do not think much about trying to have something fixed when it breaks since the shipping can be more than the value of the product, not to mention the time and aggravation trying to get a RMA for the product. Imagine my surprise when I received not only two e-mails, but a phone call from the president of the company on SUNDAY because he was concerned about my issue with his product! Not only that, but he really wanted the product back so that his people could figure out what the problem was so that they could correct it!!... Just after midnight the top of the mattress let go with a circular opening (right around the area that the circles on the top are) that is about 5 inches long... The bed is comfortable when it is inflated fully as long as you put a pad (I used a two inch memory foam top) to cover up the rolls on the top of the bed... It eventually seems to go away, but you might want to ensure you inflate this an air it out for several days before using it... I took care of this by passing two elastic bands under the bed (one at each end) that had clips and attached those clips to the fitted sheet."

"This was a big purchase for me and my review is pretty thorough: PACKAGING: The air mattress with built-in pump arrived well packaged in a large, sturdy, cardboard box with the company logo... My first night with the product I feel as though the PVC stretched slightly, but not nearly as much as other brands I have used in the past - perhaps 5% at most. Nonetheless, the first night I needed a small top-off from the built-in pump for about 10 seconds to get back to my desired firmness... Standard queen sized sheets fit on the mattress decently well, although after continued use I noticed them starting to fall off... COMFORT: This mattress has now been slept on 4 times - twice alone until my traditional mattress was delivered, once with my wife, and once by a friend... I have not had a chance to use the customer support but will update this review if/when I do attempt to contact the company... There might be slightly cheaper air mattresses out there but I have bought those in the past and always been disappointed."

"I had a situation by traveling to another state in the USA with a couple of my friends where we booked one room with two queen beds and a total of us being 5 people... However, as many of you know how Google ads work they capture everything you search online and give you advertisments for your "best interest" on what you're looking for... I had my own doubts about using an air mattress as I owed one YEARS ago having to either blow or pump with your feet that was something I wasn't looking forward to do AT ALL... I quickly reviewed the features which by the way (well layed out not just like a text presentation) and that also does help the customer like me become oooh and ahhhh about the product. I Googled them to see if they were indeed a real company (hey you never know) and it was a small business more like mom and pops which I liked a lot and without hesitation I ordered... My parents were asking me to test it and see if I liked it or whatnot but the box was small enough and it wasn't heavy to me that I decided not to use it/try it until I got to the hotel... Having a small company is hard so I understand why I need to do this review for them and for those who come and read this."

"As they say, there was a tiny bit of stretching the first night but not enough to get up and inflate it some more. I admit I was a bit afraid of exploding it since I didn't know if I would put too much air in before it felt hard enough, but that turned out not to be a problem... Although I didn't time it, it only takes maybe a minute to inflate completely, and for that much air that is saying something... I have a cordless electric mower and you would think that would be quiet, but really it sounds like a big loud fan, only slightly quieter than a gasoline model, there is just no getting around it I think if you are going to move a lot of air. I'll say one thing on the weight, it is not light, especially if you are thinking the weight of one of those small twin-size 5-inch-thick mattresses you can blow up by hand... Well, I didn't have to, the founder of the company wrote me a personal note to make sure everything was in order and as I mentioned not finding the kit, they are going to send me one. So with the ease of use, superb comfort and a company that stands behind their product, I really don't see how they could make it better."

"I no longer use it as frequently as when I first received the mattress but when guests come to stay over I take it out of the storage bag and blow it up without a problem... Given my living situation in the past year I have been using air beds quite a bit and have had (unfortunately) more than a few models... I did notice that the mattress seemed to lose a small amount of air over the course of the second night... Having owned my fair share of air mattresses over the years my experience with these companies is that they do not want to be bothered after a sale basically you are on your own after purchase... The rep said that the mattresses are made from PVC, a plastic material that naturally stretches, and that stretching was normal during the first couple of uses (evidently SoundAsleep does something during production to minimize this stretching). The rep suggested that this natural stretching was likely the cause and that I should deflate the mattress fully, reinflate one more time and then try it for one more night... I followed up with an email letting her know it worked as suggested and within 15 minutes the same rep responded that she was happy to help out."

"It doesn't auto-inflate itself when pressure gets low like some but it's very quick and easy to just flip the switch to inflate it for a few seconds if it loses air. I like the fabric top, less of that typical airbed squeaking when you move around and it's slightly better at holding heat though marginal... Much more comfortable than the average airbed, but it is still an airbed and anyone that has ever used one understands they are no where near the comfort level of a real bed, obviously... The room I'm staying in, while I'm at work it is pretty cold, then I come home and turn on a space heater, and keep that on throughout the night (thermostat driven so it's not constantly blowing), so even through the temperature fluctuations and my sleeping on it, it's not losing much... I have sheets that are for queen and they appear to be made for pillowtop or other deep mattresses, they do NOT fit this bed perfectly... I don't recommend sitting on the sides, they're not as rigid as the middle and i suspect if you rolled too far to them you'd dip right off... I will be sleeping on this for nearly 3 months as I am in temporary housing and I will update this as time goes on to let you know how it's holding up."

"Every few nights we might add a little air to it, but not more than a few seconds worth. Obviously the company does not intend for this to be your main bed the way we are using it, but i know it had a year warranty, and i've read enough good reviews on the customer service to feel confident any issues will be resolved quickly. Pros: Height - Much easier to get in and out of bed at this level rather than rolling out onto the floor with a shorter mattress... I was just waiting for something to blow the first time i aired it up, but it has been holding up to nightly use for over a month now... (such a great idea) Raised lip around the edge - Other air mattresses may have seemed larger, but the edge always has give to it beings that it is filled with air... Cons: Sheets - While our fitted sheet has stayed firmly in place, there is no way to tuck in upper sheets/blankets, so there will be the inevitable moments of having to re-adjust all the sheets that have balled up on top of the bed. No battery for air pump - while i guess this mattress is never intended for outdoor use and there's no real reason for it to have a battery, i still wish it did."
