"I LOVE that the clumps don't fall apart and break into a bunch of gross little pieces that you can't get out like with some other clumping litters.""Not even when I'm pouring it into the box which is crazy because I had pretty much accepted that nasty plume of dust that would hit my face every time I refilled the cat litter box as an inevitability but I was wrong!"
"My routine includes mixing this with tidy cats, and then topping it off after every cleaning with a little more of both and some Precious Cats Cat Attract litter, which helps my fat and lazy cat who seems to need that extra boost to actually get into the litter box instead of doing his business in front of the litter box."
"On a side note, I noticed a few comments for many litters including this one about sticking to the box, smell and tracking."
"I made sure that the top and bottom parts fit together securely, that the plastic sifting separator piece was installed correctly and the clips around the box were tight and I have had no problem with even one piece of this litter coming out of the seams between the top and bottom piece when I turn it on it's side to clean it - sometimes several times a day because it is so easy to do."
"What I've been doing is using the Precious Cat litter in the box without a lid (at first I mixed it with the Scoop Away that was still left in that box but now it's almost completely Precious Cat in there) and saw an immediate and drastic difference."
"I have a small apartment and two cats, and I have no other place to put a little box besides in my living room, and I can't keep this box in there anymore with this litter for fear if someone comes over and smells this."

"And if a spot was not clumped (too fresh or hadn't gotten into the Precious Cat layer), I just scooped some over it and it almost immediately made a good strong clump for removal... I LOVE that the clumps don't fall apart and break into a bunch of gross little pieces that you can't get out like with some other clumping litters... Also, I find that it is a bit expensive, but if I don't have to replace the full box every week, it should average out to just about the same as the cheaper litter I was using but tossing every single week.""This litter box is technically is pretty centrally located, it's under a counter at the end of my kitchen because I could not find anywhere else to put it where it would A) never be inaccessible because of closed doors, etc and B) fit. I tried every type of litter I saw at the store for a long time but they either didn't clump enough or didn't contain the odor or were all dusty and would make my cats sneeze and cough... Not even when I'm pouring it into the box which is crazy because I had pretty much accepted that nasty plume of dust that would hit my face every time I refilled the cat litter box as an inevitability but I was wrong!"
"It was my first time having cats in a while (I have three) and just thought that with greater advancement that litter, overall, was better then it was when I was a kid... I had heard great things about Precious Cat (clumping ability) and also about Tidy Cats (clumping and scent) so I thought that they worked well together, but that one was not necessarily better than the other... My routine includes mixing this with tidy cats, and then topping it off after every cleaning with a little more of both and some Precious Cats Cat Attract litter, which helps my fat and lazy cat who seems to need that extra boost to actually get into the litter box instead of doing his business in front of the litter box."
"On a side note, I noticed a few comments for many litters including this one about sticking to the box, smell and tracking... Doesn't matter how much litter is in there, they still dig to the bottom sometimes... This litter is actually the granule size of old fashioned no clumping litter (small gravel like) and tracks less than my other litters."
"It does need to be cleaned DAILY because there are no "perfumes" in it, but my cat doesn't track half has much litter around the house and it doesn't stick to her paws or fur... Also, as far as the smell, immediately after she does her business (#2) yes, I can smell something, but once it clumps (which is pretty quickly) I do not smell anything... I made sure that the top and bottom parts fit together securely, that the plastic sifting separator piece was installed correctly and the clips around the box were tight and I have had no problem with even one piece of this litter coming out of the seams between the top and bottom piece when I turn it on it's side to clean it - sometimes several times a day because it is so easy to do."
"What I've been doing is using the Precious Cat litter in the box without a lid (at first I mixed it with the Scoop Away that was still left in that box but now it's almost completely Precious Cat in there) and saw an immediate and drastic difference... Precious Cat is really not very expensive, but if I can get away with mixing the two and save a few bucks here & there that's what I'm going to continue to do... I have been cutting open the plastic bags of Precious Cat & pouring it into this container, then using that container to store it & pour into the boxes when I need it."
"I never once EVER smelled the litter when I was using Tidy Cats, and I only changed the litter (dumped completely) once per month (2 litter boxes for 2 cats) and could go longer than that if I wanted to with Tidy Cats... I have a small apartment and two cats, and I have no other place to put a little box besides in my living room, and I can't keep this box in there anymore with this litter for fear if someone comes over and smells this... I think if I had a basement or mudroom to put the litter box in, I might use it, but I still feel like I would have to change the littler completely (twice a month) and I would probably end up going through more litter too..."

"You will need to clean the box often because of the large solid clumps that are formed but it make them easier to remove... After a full clean of the box, and using Johnny Cat litter pan bags, I filled her box with 1/3 of Cat Pride Scoopable (what she was used to), 1/3 of the Precious Cat, and 1... And if a spot was not clumped (too fresh or hadn't gotten into the Precious Cat layer), I just scooped some over it and it almost immediately made a good strong clump for removal... I LOVE that the clumps don't fall apart and break into a bunch of gross little pieces that you can't get out like with some other clumping litters... I had to refill it a little because of all the clumps I had removed at the week mark, but I did not have to start over which helps the litter last longer... Also, I find that it is a bit expensive, but if I don't have to replace the full box every week, it should average out to just about the same as the cheaper litter I was using but tossing every single week. The bags are heavy (40 lbs) and not as easy to manage as the lighter Cats Pride plastic handled container styles but they also generate substantially less waste.""she's a stray that kept coming by so we feed her and got her fixed and all her shots and such but she still doesn't really like to come inside so it doesn't feel right to claim her as our cat, hence the "1/2")... This litter box is technically is pretty centrally located, it's under a counter at the end of my kitchen because I could not find anywhere else to put it where it would A) never be inaccessible because of closed doors, etc and B) fit. I tried every type of litter I saw at the store for a long time but they either didn't clump enough or didn't contain the odor or were all dusty and would make my cats sneeze and cough... Not even when I'm pouring it into the box which is crazy because I had pretty much accepted that nasty plume of dust that would hit my face every time I refilled the cat litter box as an inevitability but I was wrong!... Her breathing used to be pretty noisy and it sounded like she had respiratory problems but that's mostly gone away now... I had a friend staying at my place for a couple weeks and one day she asked me how I trained all the cats to only do their business outside... She was surprised when i pointed out where their box is because she said she hadn't smelled it at all."
"I started using this from the start mixed with Tidy Cats to help with the cost because locally and usually online it is around $17-$18... It was my first time having cats in a while (I have three) and just thought that with greater advancement that litter, overall, was better then it was when I was a kid... I had heard great things about Precious Cat (clumping ability) and also about Tidy Cats (clumping and scent) so I thought that they worked well together, but that one was not necessarily better than the other... I noticed right away that the laundry area, where my two big boxes are, had a slight ammonia scent... I could not believe the ammonia smell and fumes that were coming off the litter boxes, something I had NEVER experienced before... I had recently filled the boxes, and they needed some topping off but not a deep cleaning, so after cleaning the normal mess I poured this in and gave it a little stir... My routine includes mixing this with tidy cats, and then topping it off after every cleaning with a little more of both and some Precious Cats Cat Attract litter, which helps my fat and lazy cat who seems to need that extra boost to actually get into the litter box instead of doing his business in front of the litter box."
"I also like that I don't smell my cats feet anymore (they used to smell like the litter fragrance)... On a side note, I noticed a few comments for many litters including this one about sticking to the box, smell and tracking. My cats dig in the litter and most times will actually go to the bathroom on the plastic bottom of the box. Doesn't matter how much litter is in there, they still dig to the bottom sometimes... This litter is actually the granule size of old fashioned no clumping litter (small gravel like) and tracks less than my other litters... In short, if you litter box is within 50ft of a place you interact with your cat will notice litter somewhere... Throw the medications away if your cats are doing home-cut tail mullets and change your litter."
"It does need to be cleaned DAILY because there are no "perfumes" in it, but my cat doesn't track half has much litter around the house and it doesn't stick to her paws or fur... Being "minimal dust" was a big requirement of mine because one of her litter boxes is in the house and I did not want a lot of dust accumulating on the furniture in the room it is in. Also, as far as the smell, immediately after she does her business (#2) yes, I can smell something, but once it clumps (which is pretty quickly) I do not smell anything... Although I will say, if your cat likes to dig to the bottom of the litter box to do their business it may "stick" to the bottom (as it also would with other litters). When you turn the Omega Litter box to clean the litter just slap the bottom of the litter box hard (but not too hard to crack or break it) several times and the vibration will separate the litter clump from the bottom of litter box and it will go into the tray to be thrown away... I have read other reviews about the Omega Paw n Roll where they say that the litter comes out the seams when they turn it on it's side to sift it.
"But I finally started to realize that the "dust" issues in the areas near the boxes was not simply because I live in the Phoenix, Arizona area, which IS a dusty place to live. I don't know why it took me so long to put 2-and-2 together & realize the litter was what was coating my furniture, but I finally decided to try another litter... What I've been doing is using the Precious Cat litter in the box without a lid (at first I mixed it with the Scoop Away that was still left in that box but now it's almost completely Precious Cat in there) and saw an immediate and drastic difference... Precious Cat is really not very expensive, but if I can get away with mixing the two and save a few bucks here & there that's what I'm going to continue to do... I still have one of the old plastic containers that Scoop Away used to come in (holds something like 40# of litter), which has a carry handle. I have been cutting open the plastic bags of Precious Cat & pouring it into this container, then using that container to store it & pour into the boxes when I need it. When I ordered some Precious Cat online, one of the bags had a leak and litter leaked out of the shipping box and made a mess when I brought it into my house."
"My cats were using Tidy Cats before this litter and I was nervous to make the switch to this, and they took to this litter really quick... Also, this may be weird, but my cat has UTI's and it's really had to know when she has blood in her urine. This litter actually retains the color of urine a lot more than Tidy Cats (Tidy Cats just looked like gray pee clumps) but this you can actually see it is a yellow pee clump... I never once EVER smelled the litter when I was using Tidy Cats, and I only changed the litter (dumped completely) once per month (2 litter boxes for 2 cats) and could go longer than that if I wanted to with Tidy Cats... I have had the litter about 3 weeks, and I am at the point where I can't stand the smell anymore...
