"I found some stretches online that I have used the roller with and anything that hurts or doesn't feel quite right I just don't do.""I used to imagine that if I could put a rolling pin to my back it would smooth out all the knots just like how it smooths out dough."
"I use it before workouts to roll out my back and shoulders and use it after workouts to make sure I didnt strain anything too badly."
"the first 2 days i used it was really painful and after that my back got used to it."
"It was so firm that it felt like it hurt at first, but after 3-4 uses my back was feeling much better."
"Black rollers are much firmer than the white ones, so if you're starting out on really tight muscles, this one will hurt."
"It's a foam roller, and I assume you know what they're for if you're shopping for them, so I won't go into that."

"I bought this foam roller as recommended from a physical therapist to do some stretching exercises for my neck and back... This foam roller is very firm, felt a little different then i expected but i was not disappointed... I found some stretches online that I have used the roller with and anything that hurts or doesn't feel quite right I just don't do.""I used to imagine that if I could put a rolling pin to my back it would smooth out all the knots just like how it smooths out dough... I think the next day my back was more sore but it felt better after that. I have also used it for core exercises and it does make my stomach muscles work hard, i can feel them sore the next day."
"I use it before workouts to roll out my back and shoulders and use it after workouts to make sure I didnt strain anything too badly... A few of the rollers at the gym are soft or too thin to really do anything... Its been over 6 months of using ( i tend to review things late to see how long they last) and nothing wrong so far!"
"because this thing really cracks my back and I don't get up in the morning all sore from back pain. the first 2 days i used it was really painful and after that my back got used to it. I lay on my side to rub my legs and hips but that i can only do for a minute or two because my knee hurts which I hope eventually will get better..."
"It's small enough to store away without taking up too much space, yet big enough for me to roll on to help stretch my back out. It was so firm that it felt like it hurt at first, but after 3-4 uses my back was feeling much better. I'm glad I bought this product and it has helped my back pain diminish through stretching!"
"I love this roller, but a word of advice: if you're just starting out with foam rolling, this is NOT the roller you want! Black rollers are much firmer than the white ones, so if you're starting out on really tight muscles, this one will hurt. I've been rolling for awhile now and the density of this one is just right."
"It's a foam roller, and I assume you know what they're for if you're shopping for them, so I won't go into that. All you need to know is that it is FIRM (the "extra firm" description should give that away, but I'll reiterate anyway). I've had it for a few months and use it a few times per week, lying on it and stretching my chest (pec minor tear), and it's exactly what I needed."

"I bought this foam roller as recommended from a physical therapist to do some stretching exercises for my neck and back. I am a hair stylist and have been trouble with tightness in my neck, shoulders and back for a while now. This foam roller is very firm, felt a little different then i expected but i was not disappointed... I have used it a few times now and it feels nice to use it gives me a good stretch and massage feel. I found some stretches online that I have used the roller with and anything that hurts or doesn't feel quite right I just don't do... The roller is durable and will not wear out with use which is awesome... I will definitely continue to use this and would highly recommend anyone to try it.""After having my first baby I had been wanting to take a rolling pin to my back... I used to imagine that if I could put a rolling pin to my back it would smooth out all the knots just like how it smooths out dough. I had never heard of a foam roller until I saw it being used for core exercises... It does hurt (but in a good way) when you use it on your back. I think the next day my back was more sore but it felt better after that. I have also used it for core exercises and it does make my stomach muscles work hard, i can feel them sore the next day. It is nice firm roller- but it is not firm enough to prevent my now 15 month old from chewing through the styrofoam and leaving teeth marks all over!"
"This little thing helps, alot. Having scoliosis and active at the gym isn't something that is pain free... I use it before workouts to roll out my back and shoulders and use it after workouts to make sure I didnt strain anything too badly. Its hard and doesn't squish when I'm laying on it and it fits my back perfectly ( 6'1, 275). A few of the rollers at the gym are soft or too thin to really do anything. So I felt like the price I paid for this is well deserved. Its been over 6 months of using ( i tend to review things late to see how long they last) and nothing wrong so far!"
"painful 40's heading to my 50's The material is like the styrofoam pieces you see inside a tv box to protect it when shipping, is like that but hard. I wish I looked on youtube for a tutorial for back pain many years ago! because this thing really cracks my back and I don't get up in the morning all sore from back pain. the first 2 days i used it was really painful and after that my back got used to it. I lay on my side to rub my legs and hips but that i can only do for a minute or two because my knee hurts which I hope eventually will get better... my husband loves it too, he was skeptical but later he said it cracks his back and feels better lol... He doesn't have to roll his eyes anymore every time I ask him to crack my back, this thing does it..."
