"I can't imagine why any child would need 20 glue sticks but I do know if I was going to buy the glue sticks for my grandson it was going to be from a company I know and trust and that would be Elmer's School Glue.""They're great for thickening soups and stews, sticking googly eyes on pictures or Barack Obama, throwing at kids who won't get off my lawn, bribing police (you don't know how many tickets I get out of..."
"The only down side that I can tell you about is keeping the lid off or losing the lid - very easy to do with glue sticks unlike the liquid glue - it attracts dog hair and dust and it dries out too quickly."
"With this giant box of 60, I will not have to buy any extras this year, and I can even donate some to their class rooms for kids who cannot replenish theirs throughout the year."
"I have found that while one can get the same or equal quality with some generic/no-brand products, when it comes to glue sticks, the Elmer's brand has never let me down like some off-brands have."
"Plus, we got glue for all 4 of our kids (and probably some of their classmates) for less than the cost of buying just the required amount for our 5th grader."
"" I suggest buying it about 2/3 into the year: Long enough for all the other glue sticks to dry out, but there is still oh so much to cut and paste."

"I can't imagine why any child would need 20 glue sticks but I do know if I was going to buy the glue sticks for my grandson it was going to be from a company I know and trust and that would be Elmer's School Glue... Nothing really out of then ordinary but the glue sticks. If anyone knows why we'd have to buy so many other then to help kids in the class that can't afford to purchase them I'd love to know.""And I'm not a very good glue-maker either, so I need about three horses to make a teaspoon of glue... Additionally, as a child, I was quite the little paste eater, so these glue sticks are great for a snack on the go!... They're great for thickening soups and stews, sticking googly eyes on pictures or Barack Obama, throwing at kids who won't get off my lawn, bribing police (you don't know how many tickets I get out of..."
"I purchased the 30 pack box of Elmer's school glue sticks as my kids go through them like ..... The only down side that I can tell you about is keeping the lid off or losing the lid - very easy to do with glue sticks unlike the liquid glue - it attracts dog hair and dust and it dries out too quickly... I'd have made them square for easier storage and less chance of it rolling off under the sofa."
"My kids always need lots of glue sticks for their school supply lists, and we also use quite a few of them at home, too. With this giant box of 60, I will not have to buy any extras this year, and I can even donate some to their class rooms for kids who cannot replenish theirs throughout the year... We have lots of fun finding things to glue on our crafts here at home, and the stick glue is a lot less messy than the liquid glue."
"This pack of 30 has lasted us a good year before we ran out- (even with 3 children having frequent school projects and several art/craft projects at home) -and every one of the sticks have been fresh and ready to go, with no dried-up duds. I have found that while one can get the same or equal quality with some generic/no-brand products, when it comes to glue sticks, the Elmer's brand has never let me down like some off-brands have. These glue sticks have effectively glued everything from tissue paper, scrapbook paper, construction paper, cardstock and photos to various items from plain copy paper to poster board and canvas with no problems."
"While I think this is a nice practice, it makes the start of the school year pretty austere for a family with 4 children... I didn't open ever stick but I did a random sampling of 10 and they all seemed to be fresh and in good working order. Plus, we got glue for all 4 of our kids (and probably some of their classmates) for less than the cost of buying just the required amount for our 5th grader."
"If you are the parent of one of "those kids" ... buy this for the teacher, send it with some chocolate and a note that says "Thank you. " I suggest buying it about 2/3 into the year: Long enough for all the other glue sticks to dry out, but there is still oh so much to cut and paste."

"I bought this 30 pack as it was less then the 20 pack of Elmer's School Glue sticks... I can't imagine why any child would need 20 glue sticks but I do know if I was going to buy the glue sticks for my grandson it was going to be from a company I know and trust and that would be Elmer's School Glue... It came in a nice carton and they arrived in this Florida heat unscathed... My daughter could now cross off the Glue Sticks of his school supply list... Nothing really out of then ordinary but the glue sticks. If anyone knows why we'd have to buy so many other then to help kids in the class that can't afford to purchase them I'd love to know... Even if you were to use these a few minutes per day 5 days a week I figured the most the kids would use is 5-10 per school year.""No longer will I have to murder a horse and boil down its connective tissues for hours just to stick two pieces of paper together! And I'm not a very good glue-maker either, so I need about three horses to make a teaspoon of glue... Additionally, as a child, I was quite the little paste eater, so these glue sticks are great for a snack on the go!... And I've found dozens of uses for my glue sticks, too... They're great for thickening soups and stews, sticking googly eyes on pictures or Barack Obama, throwing at kids who won't get off my lawn, bribing police (you don't know how many tickets I get out of..... Buy this glue stick and your dreams will come true! Unbeknownst to most purchasers, each stick of glue comes with three wishes."
"I purchased the 30 pack box of Elmer's school glue sticks as my kids go through them like ..... Often I would apply too much liquid glue to the back of paper and when I'd go to apply it to, say, poster board, the paper would be wet / soggy, and glue would seep out the edges of the paper and make a mess. That does not happen with glue sticks, not, at least, that I've been clever enough as to discover new ways to make a mess. The Elmer's brand of glue sticks is, in my opinion, a little stickier than competitor brands, and it is consistent. The only down side that I can tell you about is keeping the lid off or losing the lid - very easy to do with glue sticks unlike the liquid glue - it attracts dog hair and dust and it dries out too quickly... I'd have made them square for easier storage and less chance of it rolling off under the sofa... It is useful in schools, offices, and homes."
"This was a great deal on glue sticks! My kids always need lots of glue sticks for their school supply lists, and we also use quite a few of them at home, too. With this giant box of 60, I will not have to buy any extras this year, and I can even donate some to their class rooms for kids who cannot replenish theirs throughout the year. The glue is easy to use, it works a lot like a lip balm tube... Once you have used that glue, just roll up more! It works very well on paper and plastics, and even little pieces of cloth. We have lots of fun finding things to glue on our crafts here at home, and the stick glue is a lot less messy than the liquid glue."
"Lot's of glue for not a lot of money... 15 glue sticks for our 5th grader. I'm pretty sure that we are buying extra because of students who are from poor families that are unable to buy their own supplies. While I think this is a nice practice, it makes the start of the school year pretty austere for a family with 4 children. The glue came in quickly and the package appeared to be brand new and unopened. I didn't open ever stick but I did a random sampling of 10 and they all seemed to be fresh and in good working order. Plus, we got glue for all 4 of our kids (and probably some of their classmates) for less than the cost of buying just the required amount for our 5th grader."
