"I turned the package over and it mentioned how you had to remove the ball of wax from the tip."

"All the pens have a little wax tip on the pen you have to remove before use, so there's a guarantee that the ink won't ever dry out during shipment or if they've been on the store shelves for a long time which is nice."

"The break was in a place where it had to have been broken before and when it was packaged, otherwise all seven others would have been broken or damaged too, as if someone had tried bending the whole package right at the top of the hand grips."

"So far my experience is not long enough to comment on the ink levels but if it lasts reasonably okay then everything else is perfectly fine and with my initial experience, I would buy it again..."

"I have only used the black one a lot, so the other colors are still 90% full, but even those, I have to press very hard to get the amount of solid color i used to get."

"But the orange and pink pens I have never used and they have also leaked!"

"Each pen comes with a wax coat over the ball point so that the ink won't dry out before you receive them."

"Luckily I work for a company that uses them for promotional items, because I bought 400 pens just because I liked how it wrote... When I saw the commercial for InkJoy Pens, with the colorful pens gliding all over the place, it was beautiful... I turned the package over and it mentioned how you had to remove the ball of wax from the tip."

"I am right handed so I don't have to deal with smudging, but my friend uses these pens who is a lefty and she doesn't worry about it too much... All the pens have a little wax tip on the pen you have to remove before use, so there's a guarantee that the ink won't ever dry out during shipment or if they've been on the store shelves for a long time which is nice. Also, if you only plan on using one color at a time, you can keep those shelved for a long time before bringing them out and having an ink mess or anything like that."

"The treads that hold the top of the pen to the lower half - where the actual point would be was it not retracted, are stripped, along with the tiniest of chips in the plastic... The break was in a place where it had to have been broken before and when it was packaged, otherwise all seven others would have been broken or damaged too, as if someone had tried bending the whole package right at the top of the hand grips... I guess my final decision on re-purchasing and recommendations will come down to whether the pens last for more than one week of Biology notes."

"A regular black or blue pen is so dull for those occasions especially, if you are planing to go through your notes quickly after a while... The rubber grip is a plus, Again, back in my school years, I used to have a lump on my middle finger for all the semester due to very firmly holding the pen... So far my experience is not long enough to comment on the ink levels but if it lasts reasonably okay then everything else is perfectly fine and with my initial experience, I would buy it again..."

"I really like the bright purple (might be another name for it, but that's what I'm calling it)... My main reason for giving it 3 stars is because after about a month of use, it is starting to have lots of difficulty laying down solid colors. I have only used the black one a lot, so the other colors are still 90% full, but even those, I have to press very hard to get the amount of solid color i used to get."

"They come out of the package with wax/rubber on the tip, so you are assured they are not dried out... The first few, I thought were to my fault so I would take the pen apart, clean the inside and put it back together. But the orange and pink pens I have never used and they have also leaked!"

"The black, blue, red, and green are all what you'd expect from any pen (although the red seems particularly vibrant to me). The other colors are all dark enough to be read, even the orange, so I can use every single pen in this pack for my notes. Each pen comes with a wax coat over the ball point so that the ink won't dry out before you receive them."

"I once did, but they were only available through a pen printing company and wholesale, but I had to buy a minimum of 400. Luckily I work for a company that uses them for promotional items, because I bought 400 pens just because I liked how it wrote... When I saw the commercial for InkJoy Pens, with the colorful pens gliding all over the place, it was beautiful... They were an add on item for Amazon Prime, so I had to wait to buy something else just to get them... I turned the package over and it mentioned how you had to remove the ball of wax from the tip... And so I decided maybe I need to actually write-write with them, you know instead of making scribbly circles and half writing your name... It skipped a little, that's ok, I see multiple colors on my paper and I got excited about it!"

"Even my parents, who are not picky about their writing utensils have commented on how smooth and nice it is to write with the pens. The grip is a perfect medium, they're not so squishy as to become gross and deformed over time but they're not so hard as to be indiscernible from the plastic... It's plenty low so that if you want to write closer to the bottom of the pen for more control you're not going to run out of grip. The click mechanism sounds good without being obnoxiously clicky, although I wish the click part at the top would always be up even when the tip is in use... I am right handed so I don't have to deal with smudging, but my friend uses these pens who is a lefty and she doesn't worry about it too much...

"My mother and I do and have worked in offices all of our professional lives so, office products are something we "geek out" over... The treads that hold the top of the pen to the lower half - where the actual point would be was it not retracted, are stripped, along with the tiniest of chips in the plastic. Aside from my extreme upset and disappointment in the (to me) most beautiful of color choices, the other pens all have great, vibrant colors... Based on the fact that one of my pens arrived broken IN the packaging, I'm not sure I whether or not would recommend, or purchase these again. It seems to me to be one of the fundamental and first things on the checklist before a product could leave the manufacturers warehouse, "Is the product broken and in working order?...

At less than $3/ pack of eight (thanks to the add on program), this is a great deal... Here is a summary of my few days of experience with these pen: Pros: It is very light weight which is a plus for long writing sessions... In my school years, I remember having suffered a lot from heavy pens while taking lecture notes at a very fast speed... The colors are vibrant and can be used to underline stuff.

"I bought these so i could scribble notes and the change in colors helps me differentiate parts of the subject... I really like the bright purple (might be another name for it, but that's what I'm calling it)... My main reason for giving it 3 stars is because after about a month of use, it is starting to have lots of difficulty laying down solid colors. I have only used the black one a lot, so the other colors are still 90% full, but even those, I have to press very hard to get the amount of solid color i used to get... I don't really know how to describe it because I am not a pen nut... However, that is my mistake in not reading closer, so that didnt play a factor in my 3 star rating. Just wanted to point out that it's 1."

"I was really excited to get a nice pack of pens for a really great price with a good variety of colors. They come out of the package with wax/rubber on the tip, so you are assured they are not dried out... You will not find a product anywhere else for this quality... Edit: Everything above this was my original review, but here is my update... ) And every single one of them has leaked.

Each pen comes with a wax coat over the ball point so that the ink won't dry out before you receive them. All the pens worked right away without having to scribble all over a piece of paper, so I'm quite satisfied... However, if you try to write more than a sentence at one time, they go dry... Good for underlining and circling notes, but no good for actually taking them. For this reason, I tossed out the black pen but still use the colored ones."
