Pet Republique Professional Cat Nail Clippers - Claw Trimmer Cat, Kitten, Puppy, Dog, Hamster, Small Breed Animals (Mini Clipper)

Very Quick

"They don t seem any sharper, the handles aren t any more comfy or better, and as I ve already mentioned I don t really care for the angle."

"For anything bigger than a Yorkie or Maltese, I'd probably use the large clippers (even though I should be able to use sm/md clippers for most dogs up to 50ish lbs), BUT I don't feel I can use even the "Large" clippers on a large dog, or one with thick nails."

"My arms, legs, and even my shoulders (he has the habit of kneading a lot in the mornings, claws out; he's been waking me up this way everyday) are full of scratches which I've gotten from him being too cuddly and not knowing when to retract his claws."

"My kittens now almost a year old, don't seem to mind trimming as much with these new trimmers, I trim their nails almost every week to week and half, so I will see how long these stay sharp."

"* These work fine but aren't very sharp and it was hard to get them to cut through the nail but that could just be my poor fur babies nails."

"The only thing about these clippers is that they may be difficult for somebody with larger hands to use since they are so small."

"Other clippers, with the locking tab on the outside by the thumb, will accidentally lock when you clip, every time, making nail clipping twice as hard and very frustrating."

"I also noticed several reviewers commented that their trimmers didn t have the guard on it (which they liked)... Honestly, I don t think these clippers any better than any other pair I ve tried. They don t seem any sharper, the handles aren t any more comfy or better, and as I ve already mentioned I don t really care for the angle."

"I was thinking I wouldn't be surprised if they just broke, when the little black latch that holds them together just popped right off... I don't feel like these are trustworthy clippers, and I'm going to have to buy at least a pair of large clippers elsewhere (I usually use Safari brand and may just return to those)... For anything bigger than a Yorkie or Maltese, I'd probably use the large clippers (even though I should be able to use sm/md clippers for most dogs up to 50ish lbs), BUT I don't feel I can use even the "Large" clippers on a large dog, or one with thick nails."

"* I'm a first time cat owner to a Ragdoll kitten that just turned 4-months old yesterday and I never realized just how sharp kitty claws could be 'til now... My arms, legs, and even my shoulders (he has the habit of kneading a lot in the mornings, claws out; he's been waking me up this way everyday) are full of scratches which I've gotten from him being too cuddly and not knowing when to retract his claws... We gave Sora his first nail clipping experience today and it went more smoothly than I thought it would have and these clippers definitely helped."

"I have tried three different types of nail trimmers and they have all failed within a month or two, either dull very quickly or nails cause they to break or out of adjustment and won't trim very well... My kittens now almost a year old, don't seem to mind trimming as much with these new trimmers, I trim their nails almost every week to week and half, so I will see how long these stay sharp... Since they are also sharp I don't believe that it hurts the cats like the other cheap ones."

"* These work fine but aren't very sharp and it was hard to get them to cut through the nail but that could just be my poor fur babies nails... Very few sellers actually do this so that was a nice surprise however I had no issues so there was nothing for them to fix. I will definitely buy from this seller again because they sell good quality products and actually church to see if you're satisfied so they get 5 stars in my book!"

"* I've never clipped cat nails before and I was absolutely terrified to try it on my 6 month old kitten!... I have small hands so the clippers fit comfortably in my hands, and it took little to no effort to cut the nail! The only thing about these clippers is that they may be difficult for somebody with larger hands to use since they are so small."

"Other clippers, with the locking tab on the outside by the thumb, will accidentally lock when you clip, every time, making nail clipping twice as hard and very frustrating... Actually, the black plastic locking tab fell off very easily, but in my case, it made the clippers better... The shield on other clippers won't stay over the opening so that I have to adjust it back over the opening between each nail clip."

"* I was immediately interested in these dog nail clippers when I saw the angled head on them... The very first squeeze of the handles resulted in the little locking piece disengaging from the clippers, flying 8 feet across the deck, and smacking my unsuspecting 75-year-old mother in the face. It startled her and made her squeal rather than hurting her (she thought it was a bee) and we all got a good chuckle out of it, but the potential to harm really is possible. I would especially make sure younger children or toddlers aren't nearby until you know whether or not the locking mechanism is going to stay in place or not. I also noticed several reviewers commented that their trimmers didn t have the guard on it (which they liked)... Honestly, I don t think these clippers any better than any other pair I ve tried. They don t seem any sharper, the handles aren t any more comfy or better, and as I ve already mentioned I don t really care for the angle."

"The handles are thin (which, btw, results in the edges digging uncomfortably into your hand when you close them) and light, and I just didn't have a good feeling... I was thinking I wouldn't be surprised if they just broke, when the little black latch that holds them together just popped right off... I don't feel like these are trustworthy clippers, and I'm going to have to buy at least a pair of large clippers elsewhere (I usually use Safari brand and may just return to those). The small/medium ones are borderline useless except maybe toy-sized dogs, cats, and small pets. For anything bigger than a Yorkie or Maltese, I'd probably use the large clippers (even though I should be able to use sm/md clippers for most dogs up to 50ish lbs), BUT I don't feel I can use even the "Large" clippers on a large dog, or one with thick nails... I like that the company donates part of its profits to animal rescue, and I actually really like the angle they're set at... This review is for the dog nail clippers; I haven't used the cat clippers but don't foresee an issue with them."

"* I'm a first time cat owner to a Ragdoll kitten that just turned 4-months old yesterday and I never realized just how sharp kitty claws could be 'til now... My arms, legs, and even my shoulders (he has the habit of kneading a lot in the mornings, claws out; he's been waking me up this way everyday) are full of scratches which I've gotten from him being too cuddly and not knowing when to retract his claws. Anyway, I finally decided to buy clippers online and found these and I regret not getting these SOONER. We gave Sora his first nail clipping experience today and it went more smoothly than I thought it would have and these clippers definitely helped. He was a little fidgety but not so much that we had to stop. We managed to do all his nails (front and back) in one sitting and they're so much better now... I would think the size of this clipper would be great even for a fully grown cat."

"* We have two young kittens and have been trying to clip their nails for 6 months now and it's been a constant battle. I have tried three different types of nail trimmers and they have all failed within a month or two, either dull very quickly or nails cause they to break or out of adjustment and won't trim very well... My kittens now almost a year old, don't seem to mind trimming as much with these new trimmers, I trim their nails almost every week to week and half, so I will see how long these stay sharp. Trimms seem to be much better quality and fairly well built over cheap trimmers I have used in the past. They have a good feel and are small enough to maneuver around to get a good trim on smaller paws. Since they are also sharp I don't believe that it hurts the cats like the other cheap ones. I would recoomend this product, not sure how it would work on larger animals, but so far works great for my cats."

"* These work fine but aren't very sharp and it was hard to get them to cut through the nail but that could just be my poor fur babies nails. She was a rescue and we're still trying to get her nails down a little at a time. They are extremely dark so I don't want to trim to much at a time as I don't know where the quick is... I think if your pet has been groomed on a regular basis these will work great for you and they are very simple to use and easy to handle. Also this company actually emailed me to make sure I was pleased with my purchase abd offered to correct it if needed.

These clippers worked amazing! After getting my confidence up and watching a few YouTube videos on how to trim cat nails, I gave it a try! I have small hands so the clippers fit comfortably in my hands, and it took little to no effort to cut the nail! The only thing about these clippers is that they may be difficult for somebody with larger hands to use since they are so small. We can only clip one paw at a time since he's so squirmy, but that's just him. Thanks Pet Republique for making this stressful situation super easy!!"

"* The ergonomic feel of the nail clippers makes clipping a wiggly dog's nails easier (I am a professional dog groomer). The bent angle, allows me to lift the dog's foot backwards and clip the nail horizontal to the pad perfectly, decreasing the chances of my cutting the quick. The design of it works great because the closing/locking tab is inside the handles, not outside. Other clippers, with the locking tab on the outside by the thumb, will accidentally lock when you clip, every time, making nail clipping twice as hard and very frustrating... Actually, the black plastic locking tab fell off very easily, but in my case, it made the clippers better... The shield on other clippers won't stay over the opening so that I have to adjust it back over the opening between each nail clip. When the shield stays, I can clip, clip, clip quickly, getting through the groom faster, without getting the quick of the nail."
