Reef Fanning Mens Sandals | Bottle Opener Flip Flops For Men

"I don't have overly fat feet by any means, and I feel like this issue wouldn't even be one if the strap itself was made of of softer material or at least had some kind of softer material on the underside that touches your foot."

"I've talked with shoe repair people and I've been told that there is just not enough of a market to make flip flops for narrow or wide feet."

"I've barely worn them outside of my backyard, so this is definitely not a result of overuse (and seeing that my other pairs usually lasted me 2+ years, I doubt that's even possible in such a short amount of time) I'm not sure if Amazon supplied me with some sort of counterfeit Reefs, or if the quality in these sandals has drastically fallen."

"But who in their right minds would open a bottle with the bottom of a sandal that's attracted perhaps billions of bacteria just by walking around?"

"On a secondary note the white tends to get dirty pretty fast, so unless you want to meticulously clean these, or don't care about the dirt that will discolor them, I would go with another color."

"Reef really has outdone their selves and trust me when I say this, it was hard for me to get away from the famous California Rainbow sandals and I would chose these any day over Rainbows."

"* When I first researched these I was unsure how they would fit compared to shoe sizes and while I normally wear a 10~11 (depending on the shoe brand) I went with the 10 instead of rounding up to the 11 as most people recommend because 11s were out of stock at the time."

"I wore them for about 15 minutes walking down to the beach on a recent vacation that I purchased them for and was instantly fighting to get them off my feet by the time we got to the elevator to get to our room... I don't have overly fat feet by any means, and I feel like this issue wouldn't even be one if the strap itself was made of of softer material or at least had some kind of softer material on the underside that touches your foot. I would never purchase these again knowing what I know now, ESPECIALLY for how much they cost when I can run down to any old store and pick up a set that will be comfy for a couple bucks."

"I've talked with shoe repair people and I've been told that there is just not enough of a market to make flip flops for narrow or wide feet... They are a little on the short side for me, but wearable and I don't think they will slip off while I'm walking... I really noticed it when I took them off and then had to make sure I could walk barefoot again."

"This happened because my shoes were left outside, just as I have done with all of my sandals before these. I've barely worn them outside of my backyard, so this is definitely not a result of overuse (and seeing that my other pairs usually lasted me 2+ years, I doubt that's even possible in such a short amount of time) I'm not sure if Amazon supplied me with some sort of counterfeit Reefs, or if the quality in these sandals has drastically fallen. I will certainly be hesitant to order another pair of Reef sandals, despite having enjoyed many pairs before, seeing as these were nothing more than a waste of money."

"I've been wearing Chacos for years and decided these probably looked more comfortable on the foot... But who in their right minds would open a bottle with the bottom of a sandal that's attracted perhaps billions of bacteria just by walking around?... I hope someone with the company is running out on Monday with pliers to remove all bottle openers from all unsold stock."

"As any flip-flop they don't offer much support, but I wouldn't expect you to be buying a pair of flip-flops if you are looking for support... On a secondary note the white tends to get dirty pretty fast, so unless you want to meticulously clean these, or don't care about the dirt that will discolor them, I would go with another color... you just have to knock the dirt out of them before using and make sure you wipe off your bottle after."

"I just bought my second pair yesterday from Amazon and still am using the pair I bought from 3 years ago which were a store buy... Reef really has outdone their selves and trust me when I say this, it was hard for me to get away from the famous California Rainbow sandals and I would chose these any day over Rainbows. Also, the bottle opener works really well, very sturdy design and great in a pinch when you are handed a craft beer out on the sandbar in Lake Havasu and a bottle opener is no where near to be found."

"* When I first researched these I was unsure how they would fit compared to shoe sizes and while I normally wear a 10~11 (depending on the shoe brand) I went with the 10 instead of rounding up to the 11 as most people recommend because 11s were out of stock at the time... Honestly it was mainly just because I was leaving on vacation in a couple of days and needed sandals, and my only other option was those the thin foam ones, which I cannot stand. But much to my pleasant surprise after wearing them for a few hours they loosened up a bit and are now by far the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned."

"I suppose maybe once they are broken in more maybe they won't be so bad, but who wants to cut up their feet attempting to break them in though?... I wore them for about 15 minutes walking down to the beach on a recent vacation that I purchased them for and was instantly fighting to get them off my feet by the time we got to the elevator to get to our room... I don't have overly fat feet by any means, and I feel like this issue wouldn't even be one if the strap itself was made of of softer material or at least had some kind of softer material on the underside that touches your foot. I would never purchase these again knowing what I know now, ESPECIALLY for how much they cost when I can run down to any old store and pick up a set that will be comfy for a couple bucks. Even if they break the next day, it'd take weeks of buying new ones to get to the over $50 price tag on these guys. I loved the design of them, plus having the bottle opener is kind of a funny/cool option even if it is a little gimmicky so for that I'm leaving a couple starts cuz they do look great. Maybe I'll try and break them in with socks on around the house for a while and see if that makes them any better."

"* I usually wear a Size 16, but these were just too loose on my feet... I've talked with shoe repair people and I've been told that there is just not enough of a market to make flip flops for narrow or wide feet... They are a little on the short side for me, but wearable and I don't think they will slip off while I'm walking... First they do give you the feeling that you are leaning forward a little from the air cushion in the back. I really noticed it when I took them off and then had to make sure I could walk barefoot again... Also they have a bottle opener on the bottom of them which sanitary worries aside I can't wait to try out on vacation in a couple of weeks! The 4 stars instead of 5 was mostly due to they didn't fit me as I wished, but for someone with 'normal' width feet I would think they would be great."

"To begin with, the size (despite being the same size that I always order) was a little on the small side, as my toes managed to hang over the edge... My biggest concern comes from the fact that my sandals have completely destroyed themselves in less than a few weeks after receiving them. The soles have become completely unglued from the rest of the shoe, and the rubber section (where the foot actually rests) has shrunk by a few inches at least compared to its original size. This happened because my shoes were left outside, just as I have done with all of my sandals before these. I will certainly be hesitant to order another pair of Reef sandals, despite having enjoyed many pairs before, seeing as these were nothing more than a waste of money. If you are planning on using these in any kind of environment where they may encounter heat (such as the beach, which you would expect a sandal should be able to handle...."

"I've been wearing Chacos for years and decided these probably looked more comfortable on the foot. Tried them and glad to say they are every bit as comfortable as I thought they'd be... They must have had a few bottles before coming up with this idea... But who in their right minds would open a bottle with the bottom of a sandal that's attracted perhaps billions of bacteria just by walking around?... I've even just ordered another pair in brown/gummy as well. I'm just hoping the bottoms of the sandals won't wear to the point that the metal in the bottle openers starts to scrape floors or make it difficult to wear... I hope someone with the company is running out on Monday with pliers to remove all bottle openers from all unsold stock."

"Once I received them I immediately tried them on only to find I couldn't even get my foot into them... These fit perfectly, and I have been wearing them ever since. As any flip-flop they don't offer much support, but I wouldn't expect you to be buying a pair of flip-flops if you are looking for support. I would wear "flops" all year if I could get away with it, and these have held up pretty nicely so far. The last pair I had lasted for about 2 years, so I definitely got my moneys worth. On a secondary note the white tends to get dirty pretty fast, so unless you want to meticulously clean these, or don't care about the dirt that will discolor them, I would go with another color... you just have to knock the dirt out of them before using and make sure you wipe off your bottle after."

"And being from SoCal, Flip Flops is all you wear during the summer. I just bought my second pair yesterday from Amazon and still am using the pair I bought from 3 years ago which were a store buy... The best part, unlike Rainbows, is you can walk in the water with them, you don't have to worry about extra damage. Also, my foot holder bands are still dead tight into the sandal and do not feel like they are going to break, even today. These sandals are a bit expensive, however, for how long they last and how comfortable they are , they are worth every penny.

"* When I first researched these I was unsure how they would fit compared to shoe sizes and while I normally wear a 10~11 (depending on the shoe brand) I went with the 10 instead of rounding up to the 11 as most people recommend because 11s were out of stock at the time. When I initially received them the straps were way too tight but the otherwise were spot on the right size and comfortable. I originally considered returning them because of the tight strap issue but instead I decided to see if they would just break in a little. Honestly it was mainly just because I was leaving on vacation in a couple of days and needed sandals, and my only other option was those the thin foam ones, which I cannot stand. But much to my pleasant surprise after wearing them for a few hours they loosened up a bit and are now by far the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I don't wear sandals that often so I have no doubt that I am going to own these for a very long time. Also the Bottle opener came in surprisingly handy while on vacation."
