OOFOS Unisex Ooriginal Thong Flip Flop

"The walmart flip flops would slip and youd slip with them, but these are a different kind of danger because now the bottom of the flip flop has traction but your feet dont have traction to the flip flop, so when the flip flops/feet are wet, especially if you step on a uneven surface, your foot will slide around in the flip flip."

"I have recurring plantar fasciitis as well as pain on the side of my foot that both are much improved when I have enough support; with my high arch, it is hard to find supportive sandals (no orthotic can fit)."

"Vionics flip flops were the only things I could find to use as inside shoes that worked for me but I couldn t keep coughing up approximately $70 per pair anymore."

"So, not only do I get to wear flip flops again, but I don't have to buy a heel lift for every pair of shoes and glue them in place."

"When I wrote to the seller to ask if maybe these could be a fluke pair and if I should re-order my original size since these can HARDLY be a size Women's 12/Men's 10, or if this is truly the new product being offered by Oofos--which would leave me to go up one more size if I can bear with the other changes (--Hard to say since I can't even get my full foot into these,) they simply--didn't write back."

"I know that I can stand in these for a long time without my feet hurting so I think they are working."

"As for everything else, these awesome and I would highly recommend, especially if you have sensitive feet when walking on hard surfaces."

"so anyways, they are still over priced, slippery when wet, no clue how much they will squish still, happy i was able to stretch them, and still concerned about getting a rash again... So thick new out of the box I am taller wearing them, almost an inch, which is not what you need when youre already 6' 5 but whatever... The walmart flip flops would slip and youd slip with them, but these are a different kind of danger because now the bottom of the flip flop has traction but your feet dont have traction to the flip flop, so when the flip flops/feet are wet, especially if you step on a uneven surface, your foot will slide around in the flip flip."

"I have recurring plantar fasciitis as well as pain on the side of my foot that both are much improved when I have enough support; with my high arch, it is hard to find supportive sandals (no orthotic can fit). Because there are almost no wide sandals or flip flops that also have support, my choices were limited and I had to try several average width shoes... Since I have had Crocs before and they are snug to start but stretch, I was also hopeful that these would stretch a bit over time."

"Vionics flip flops were the only things I could find to use as inside shoes that worked for me but I couldn t keep coughing up approximately $70 per pair anymore... Within the first 20 minutes of wearing them I had an ache that went across the top of my foot and wrapped around my ankles... Within a week of wearing these things as slippers around the house all my issues flared up."

"* I never thought I'd spend this much money on a flip flop, but these are worth every penny... I've been wearing Crocs, which have no arch support, so I use an arch support in addition to the lift, which constantly need adjusting... So, not only do I get to wear flip flops again, but I don't have to buy a heel lift for every pair of shoes and glue them in place."

"I figured okay, I have a second pair but I will order another for my back up because I love the comfort and fit of these recovery sandals... Finally, they went down to $39 and I purchased them only to find that they are significantly different than their predecessors... When I wrote to the seller to ask if maybe these could be a fluke pair and if I should re-order my original size since these can HARDLY be a size Women's 12/Men's 10, or if this is truly the new product being offered by Oofos--which would leave me to go up one more size if I can bear with the other changes (--Hard to say since I can't even get my full foot into these,) they simply--didn't write back."

"Now this could be because I have a high arch, but I feel as if the arch part is up higher in the shoe, more below the pad below my big toe as opposed to an inch lower in the middle of my foot... The part where the toes goes though is still pretty big but again, I have skinny feet and wide shoes look huge on my feet... I know that I can stand in these for a long time without my feet hurting so I think they are working."

"* These are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever owned!... These are wider than normal flip flops, but I like that because it gives a large landing area which is VERY well padded... As for everything else, these awesome and I would highly recommend, especially if you have sensitive feet when walking on hard surfaces."

Even if they did suction to something they are all "one piece" and the toe connection looks pretty solid, and harder to break like cheapo flip flops... Also the part that touches the bottom of your feet needs a more defined "gripping" pattern because as of right now they are equally as slippery as the cheapos. The walmart flip flops would slip and youd slip with them, but these are a different kind of danger because now the bottom of the flip flop has traction but your feet dont have traction to the flip flop, so when the flip flops/feet are wet, especially if you step on a uneven surface, your foot will slide around in the flip flip... These are nice flip flips that will last months (hopefully) longer than regular flip flops, but how much longer is unknown. They will more than likely receive a better rating from me down the road, but even if they make it 6 months with no issues, I still believe $29."

"I recently rubbed the top of my foot raw with a new pair of closed shoes, so was looking for something that didn't rub that part of my foot... I have recurring plantar fasciitis as well as pain on the side of my foot that both are much improved when I have enough support; with my high arch, it is hard to find supportive sandals (no orthotic can fit). Because there are almost no wide sandals or flip flops that also have support, my choices were limited and I had to try several average width shoes. But, we all have differently shaped feet, so what works for one in a shoe, will not work at all for another... These are not sold as wide shoes; I was hoping that they would be both wide enough and have a long enough strap to fit over my high instep... Since I have had Crocs before and they are snug to start but stretch, I was also hopeful that these would stretch a bit over time... Not super wide, but wide enough for my feet, though I did size up a full size compared to a normal Women's shoe."

"I wear orthotics with every pair of outside shoes I own every day or it s too painful for me to walk. Vionics flip flops were the only things I could find to use as inside shoes that worked for me but I couldn t keep coughing up approximately $70 per pair anymore... Within the first 20 minutes of wearing them I had an ache that went across the top of my foot and wrapped around my ankles. When I stood up and felt my heels sink into their squishy shoes I could feel my posture change and start to pull on my lower back... Within a week of wearing these things as slippers around the house all my issues flared up... After two weeks the pain is manageable, but it s going to be awhile to get myself back to a mostly pain free daily life... If you have a pair of these and any of the same issues as I do, burn them now and save yourself the pain."

"* I never thought I'd spend this much money on a flip flop, but these are worth every penny... I've been wearing Crocs, which have no arch support, so I use an arch support in addition to the lift, which constantly need adjusting. Even with all of that, I still end up with aching feet and pain in my lower back. I started wearing these while cooking and I'm blown away by how they feel... They somehow fit my feet so perfectly that my heel lift insert doesn't even move!... Usually, after two steps, it falls out or slides sideways, even when glued in place... So, not only do I get to wear flip flops again, but I don't have to buy a heel lift for every pair of shoes and glue them in place."

"* Waited to buy these to replace some other oofos I purchased here on Amazon within the last year--Their toe strap broke. I figured okay, I have a second pair but I will order another for my back up because I love the comfort and fit of these recovery sandals. I waited primarily because I was in no hurry and they had gone up from the $32 I paid for them to $49. Finally, they went down to $39 and I purchased them only to find that they are significantly different than their predecessors... Plus the placement of the toe strap forces one's foot even further back on the sandal so that my foot was hanging over the back by a whopping half inch... When I wrote to the seller to ask if maybe these could be a fluke pair and if I should re-order my original size since these can HARDLY be a size Women's 12/Men's 10, or if this is truly the new product being offered by Oofos--which would leave me to go up one more size if I can bear with the other changes (--Hard to say since I can't even get my full foot into these,) they simply--didn't write back... Well now, the sandals are back up to $49 within a mere week of receiving them, and although there are free returns offered, there are not exchanges offered."

"For starters, I cannot deny that when I put them on, they have a lot of support for a flip flop. Now this could be because I have a high arch, but I feel as if the arch part is up higher in the shoe, more below the pad below my big toe as opposed to an inch lower in the middle of my foot... So I bought the size 6 and they fit better but seem a little too small in the length of my foot... The part where the toes goes though is still pretty big but again, I have skinny feet and wide shoes look huge on my feet. I could really use the half size in this shoe so if anyone from the OOFOS reads this, half sizes would be great in these... I almost feel that the arch part is making the top part of my foot arch over a bump and that leaves my arch not supported but perhaps it's giving me better support? I know that I can stand in these for a long time without my feet hurting so I think they are working."

"* These are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever owned!... 5, so I typically wear a size 13 and that's what I ordered and the size is fine (length wise). These are wider than normal flip flops, but I like that because it gives a large landing area which is VERY well padded. The only slight complaint I have is that the toe strap is a little too big. Since this is an all rubber-like material, there's some natural flex and give... It's not too sloppy but tighter would be better. As for everything else, these awesome and I would highly recommend, especially if you have sensitive feet when walking on hard surfaces."
