"Because these shirts are so "silky" and because they wick moisture, I also wear them as a sleep garment, and I highly recommend you try that too (rather than a typical pajama top).""I was expecting to feel much hotter than I did in the higher temperatures, but the lightweight material breathes well and wicks the sweat away for better cooling than short sleeve cotton t-shirts I'm used to wearing."
"Highly recommend as a work or leisure shirt for anyone concerned about sunburn that does not want to completely lather down in sunscreen which has to be reapplied often."
"considering how affordable these are, and how much I like them, I will be getting more if they hold up a few months (as I do wear them every day, that's 3-4 days a week by the two I got.."
"I know why, because that's the only way they could get you to buy a black shirt for getting out in the sun."
"The material looks/feels like a stretchy polyester, the color is true to the picture, and like others have said, the sewn parts start to somewhat come undone after you put them in the wash (not bad enough where the shirt is unwearable or the hems start to undo)."
"I ordered the large for him because it is starting to get colder and he will sometimes wear another long sleeved shirt underneath a high visibility shirt and this one provides room for that."

"They are extremely comfortable, and perhaps the most comfortable long sleeve shirt I have ever worn, when I consider their utility and how many hours I have worn them... They function very well for moisture movement (wicking) and when I walk outside in hot 100 degree Texas summer weather I feel the evaporation of the sweat (keeping me cool) and my skin under the fabric remains dry... Because these shirts are so "silky" and because they wick moisture, I also wear them as a sleep garment, and I highly recommend you try that too (rather than a typical pajama top).""I was expecting to feel much hotter than I did in the higher temperatures, but the lightweight material breathes well and wicks the sweat away for better cooling than short sleeve cotton t-shirts I'm used to wearing... I normally wear a large and so that's what I originally ordered, but when they came they were too big and I returned them for a medium... A medium in a cotton t-shirt is too tight on me, but then cotton shrinks with washing and drying whereas this 100% polyester shirt keeps its original size."
"When temps and heat index rose to over 100 degrees where we live, we just simply worked in the shade and misted the shirts down with cold water... We have used the short sleeve sunscreen shirts for water sports in the past but not any long sleeved ones. Highly recommend as a work or leisure shirt for anyone concerned about sunburn that does not want to completely lather down in sunscreen which has to be reapplied often."
"I'm 6'1 and about 190-200lbs, normal to (used to be more) athletic and these shirts fit perfect... The sleeves are long enough (slightly extra long) and if you can sew, you could make thumbholes in them if you want... considering how affordable these are, and how much I like them, I will be getting more if they hold up a few months (as I do wear them every day, that's 3-4 days a week by the two I got.."
"I know why, because that's the only way they could get you to buy a black shirt for getting out in the sun... I contacted the vendor about exchanging it for a second green shirt and they stated, and I'm paraphrasing here, it matches the description so you're stuck with it... I haven't removed either one yet so I don't know if they have any defects or not."
"The material looks/feels like a stretchy polyester, the color is true to the picture, and like others have said, the sewn parts start to somewhat come undone after you put them in the wash (not bad enough where the shirt is unwearable or the hems start to undo)... As far as I can tell, it protects my skin from the sun (I use it to hike and climb all day, and I haven't gotten sunburned). It's not stylish, it doesn't fit well (again for a female body type), it isn't odor resistant, BUT it's a great price for a shirt that keeps me from getting sunburned.."
"* It's Friday evening and hubby asks me about high visibility, long sleeved shirts because he needs them for Monday so I go to Amazon and found these... Sometimes when you purchase what is described as a bright or florescent or high visibility clothing, when it arrives it's not quite there and can be dull in color... They function very well for moisture movement (wicking) and when I walk outside in hot 100 degree Texas summer weather I feel the evaporation of the sweat (keeping me cool) and my skin under the fabric remains dry... I am a long-distance ocean sailor and also wear the hi-vis yellow shirts when sailing offshore, just in case of MOB (Man Over Board) where visibility is a matter of life and death if you are in the water. I will also wear these when snorkeling, again for sun protection (about 40-50 UPF) and for visibility when on the water surface... Because these shirts are so "silky" and because they wick moisture, I also wear them as a sleep garment, and I highly recommend you try that too (rather than a typical pajama top)... I wake up with dry skin, (as the body moisture has been wicked away) and that is very comfortable way to sleep. I think these shirts would be a very good item for anyone who is active outdoors in hot or cold weather (e.""I've already taken them on a number of strenuous hikes in varying temperatures and have found them surprisingly comfortable in both cooler temperatures (low 60's F) and higher temperatures (low 80's F). I was expecting to feel much hotter than I did in the higher temperatures, but the lightweight material breathes well and wicks the sweat away for better cooling than short sleeve cotton t-shirts I'm used to wearing. Even with the sleeves covering my entire arms it feels as comfortable as with them rolled up -- so I keep them rolled down for the extra sun protection. These, along with my new Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pant, 36x32, Tusk , give me full body SPF 50+ protection in cool lightweight clothing... The only thing to be aware of is that the sizes seem to run a bit bigger than I'd expected. I normally wear a large and so that's what I originally ordered, but when they came they were too big and I returned them for a medium... A medium in a cotton t-shirt is too tight on me, but then cotton shrinks with washing and drying whereas this 100% polyester shirt keeps its original size."
"* I have purchased 4 sets of these shirts, royal blue, red, gray and light blue... We wear them working outside in the yard and swim in them in our pool... I was concerned they would be too hot but really they are not. When temps and heat index rose to over 100 degrees where we live, we just simply worked in the shade and misted the shirts down with cold water... They do tend to get a little cumberson while in the pool but we tend to float around and it's not a big issue. We have used the short sleeve sunscreen shirts for water sports in the past but not any long sleeved ones. Highly recommend as a work or leisure shirt for anyone concerned about sunburn that does not want to completely lather down in sunscreen which has to be reapplied often."
"I'm 6'1 and about 190-200lbs, normal to (used to be more) athletic and these shirts fit perfect. Loose enough to be airy and they keep me cool enough to forget I'm wearing them. The sleeves are long enough (slightly extra long) and if you can sew, you could make thumbholes in them if you want. I wear them 2 or 3 days in a row, then can easily wash them in a small bowl, rinsing them out and hang dry inside, by a fan and they will be dry by morning... I've read that pink reflects best, and stick with lighter colors to keep mosquitos away. I think they will work great in the rain too, since they feel dry even when i'm sweating... considering how affordable these are, and how much I like them, I will be getting more if they hold up a few months (as I do wear them every day, that's 3-4 days a week by the two I got.."
"* The photo shows green, but apparently the description states that it's one green and one black... I know why, because that's the only way they could get you to buy a black shirt for getting out in the sun... I contacted the vendor about exchanging it for a second green shirt and they stated, and I'm paraphrasing here, it matches the description so you're stuck with it... I haven't removed either one yet so I don't know if they have any defects or not... I need that for kayak fishing, to keep the other boats from running over me... They seem to be built well and have held up to a few fishing trips each. But who the hell needs an SPF, Oh, I just noticed it says UPF, 50 black shirt."
"The fit is for a guy (I am a girl), but I couldn't find a women's version of the Hanes shirt (what's with that? ) I bought the small (I am 5'6, 130 lbs, slim/athletic built) and it fit, but not great, given it was for a man's body. The material looks/feels like a stretchy polyester, the color is true to the picture, and like others have said, the sewn parts start to somewhat come undone after you put them in the wash (not bad enough where the shirt is unwearable or the hems start to undo). It does not keep me cooler (I am actually still warm in this shirt, but I live in an arid climate.. so maybe that has something to do with it?...
"* It's Friday evening and hubby asks me about high visibility, long sleeved shirts because he needs them for Monday so I go to Amazon and found these. Purchased them and kept my fingers crossed because obviously this was going to be his required work shirt for Monday. Sometimes when you purchase what is described as a bright or florescent or high visibility clothing, when it arrives it's not quite there and can be dull in color... I ordered the large for him because it is starting to get colder and he will sometimes wear another long sleeved shirt underneath a high visibility shirt and this one provides room for that... They are made with a wicking fabric which means they are NOT cotton. This fabric is designed to pull sweat away from the body... He liked the shirts enough that I have purchased another set that is to be delivered tomorrow."
