"I like to sew my hoodie string in at the top so that the strings stay even (because it drives me nutts if they aren't even, and rude people think it's funny to pull on the strings which I find distressing so this is a good option for me and also I don't lose the string in the dryer) I realize this has nothing to do with the actual review of this here hoodie, but I just thought I'd throw that out there for all you people who could use a free tip.""Not thin at all, but certainly not heavy weight, so just don't expect this to be your only outerwear for winter."
"Maybe my other one was stretched (don't even think about implying it was me who did the stretching), but they simply don't seem to fit or feel the same as I remember last years model when I first got it."
"This is the brand that most colleges use for their hoodies (as I have been to a college soon to be university and three state universities & this is always the brand used, onlyother brand I've seen is champion and I'd still recommend sizing up one in them too), and I have YET to buy one that wasn't a size small..."
"I ordered extra large and the fit is loose enough and comfortable to wear under a jacket or coat, as I live in the midwest and it does get cold here in the winter."
"The price has gone up a couple dollars since i ordered (it was a round 13 and change when i got it in pink) but i notice that if you keep certain items in your cart the prices comes back down again if you're lucky and keep an eye on it."
"I have purchased many sweatshirts/hoodies from here and every single one of them has been of outstanding quality."

"So because of that factor, it's hard to rate it on "fit" :-/ But I guess the fit is what I would expect for a large... But at least it was too big rather than too small, as that is acceptable for hoodies... I actually bought these a few weeks ago, but have just now had the opportuntity to wear them, as the temps in VA have dropped into the 50's and 60's... Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable, medium weight, solid color, well constructed, relatively inexpensive hoodie, I would recommend these."
"I bought two more (same XL size and model number) this Fall and sadly, they seem a much tighter fit. Maybe my other one was stretched (don't even think about implying it was me who did the stretching), but they simply don't seem to fit or feel the same as I remember last years model when I first got it... That has mostly gone away with the first washing, and I expect it to be totally gone after a couple more."

Point is I am a perfect large in just about anything I buy and I have always had to size up one size in Gildan hoodies."
"I had read in a review to buy a size larger than usual, as the sizes ran a bit small. I ordered extra large and the fit is loose enough and comfortable to wear under a jacket or coat, as I live in the midwest and it does get cold here in the winter... Very happy with my purchase and would recommend anyone to purchase it."
"I ordered mens medium since i usually get a M or L in womens and i wanted it to be a little baggy... Didn't noticeably shrink at all in the dryer, washed well and still looks good... The price has gone up a couple dollars since i ordered (it was a round 13 and change when i got it in pink) but i notice that if you keep certain items in your cart the prices comes back down again if you're lucky and keep an eye on it."
"I have purchased many sweatshirts/hoodies from here and every single one of them has been of outstanding quality... I'd say they may run a bit large and length is a tiny bit on the shorter side... I do have a mens large in this hoodie~it's VERY roomy!"

"* Well dear old Amazon fulfillment went and sent me a LARGE when I ordered a MEDIUM... Too much a pain to return it, so I'm keeping it. So because of that factor, it's hard to rate it on "fit" :-/ But I guess the fit is what I would expect for a large... But at least it was too big rather than too small, as that is acceptable for hoodies... It feels nice and thick and warm to me. I like to wear it when I want to be cozy & don't care if I look baggy. I like to sew my hoodie string in at the top so that the strings stay even (because it drives me nutts if they aren't even, and rude people think it's funny to pull on the strings which I find distressing so this is a good option for me and also I don't lose the string in the dryer) I realize this has nothing to do with the actual review of this here hoodie, but I just thought I'd throw that out there for all you people who could use a free tip.""* I really like these sweatsirts (I bought 4 in different colors)... Not thin at all, but certainly not heavy weight, so just don't expect this to be your only outerwear for winter. I actually bought these a few weeks ago, but have just now had the opportuntity to wear them, as the temps in VA have dropped into the 50's and 60's... It was actually in the 40's when I walked my dog this morning, and I was very comfortable. Things I also like about these: roomy pockets, elastic on the cuffs and along the bottom (nice look), drawstring hood... Depending on size and color, some are available with free shipping (through Amazon Prime) and some are not... Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable, medium weight, solid color, well constructed, relatively inexpensive hoodie, I would recommend these."
"* Disclaimer: I get attached to old-worn in clothes, and may not always be fair to new clothes. Having said that, I bought one of these last Fall and wore it all Winter... I bought two more (same XL size and model number) this Fall and sadly, they seem a much tighter fit. Maybe my other one was stretched (don't even think about implying it was me who did the stretching), but they simply don't seem to fit or feel the same as I remember last years model when I first got it. Also I should know better, but I wore one to work without washing it first and talk about stink and itch! There was a terrible chemical smell and it itched like crazy. That has mostly gone away with the first washing, and I expect it to be totally gone after a couple more."
"This is the brand that most colleges use for their hoodies (as I have been to a college soon to be university and three state universities & this is always the brand used, onlyother brand I've seen is champion and I'd still recommend sizing up one in them too), and I have YET to buy one that wasn't a size small... I am a perfect 'large' size and I have to buy these in an XL for the "classic hoodie fit. " Just so You can gauge my size against yours, I am 6'1, 185 - 190 lbs, 44-45 inch chest, 18. 5 inch shoulder to shoulder span, sitting right around a 34 inch waist (in American sized pants, so actually by the measuring tape probably around a 36 inch waist), and am about an average to athletic build depending on when you catch me lol... Point is I am a perfect large in just about anything I buy and I have always had to size up one size in Gildan hoodies. As far as the weight goes this is a mid to heavyweight hoodie (no premium stretchy BS here), and is pretty much unbeatable for the price. You could possibly layer these with a jacket but it'd probably be a little bit of a tight fit..."
"* 5 stars for this hooded sweatshirt. It is made by Gildan which I have always found to make a good product. I had read in a review to buy a size larger than usual, as the sizes ran a bit small. I ordered extra large and the fit is loose enough and comfortable to wear under a jacket or coat, as I live in the midwest and it does get cold here in the winter. I would say it is medium heavy... not the heaviest material but definitely heavy enough to bear the cold. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend anyone to purchase it."
"I ordered mens medium since i usually get a M or L in womens and i wanted it to be a little baggy. Not the thickest cotton but not thin either... Didn't noticeably shrink at all in the dryer, washed well and still looks good. No pilling after washing. Will def order other colors when needed. The price has gone up a couple dollars since i ordered (it was a round 13 and change when i got it in pink) but i notice that if you keep certain items in your cart the prices comes back down again if you're lucky and keep an eye on it. Still a great price for what you are getting though."
"I have purchased many sweatshirts/hoodies from here and every single one of them has been of outstanding quality. Gildan is absolutly the best brand hoodie ever made in my opinion!... Bought this safety green for work... I'd say they may run a bit large and length is a tiny bit on the shorter side... I do have a mens large in this hoodie~it's VERY roomy!... Super soft inside and out. I have EIGHT different colors..."
