"However, just a couple days after transitioning back into his pacific stream, his stools became the worst they have ever been and it was all we could do to get him to walk w/o him stopping to eat grass the whole way (which just gave him more problems when it was time to go poop).""Since switching to a grain free diet, the yellow lab has not had any more seizures in over a year, and the black lab has the silkiest coat you've ever seen and his skin allergies are completely gone."
"Some flavors cost more than others, such as the Wild Boar coming in a 14lbs or 28lbs bag instead of 15lbs or 30lbs that most of the other flavors do and it also cost's more than the rest of the other flavors, but I stick with the Pacific Stream Formula with Smoked Salmon anyway."
"I also stopped eating Smoked Salmon and Lox myself :) I bought Paul Newsman's brand which she kind of liked and then I discovered Trader Joe's Chicken Chunks that she loves."
"We did the whole mixing her familiar food with TOTW bit, that we're used-to, but ignored any "puppy" preferences in transition (something we probably should have realized long before now) and she's never had any issues."
"I've been buying this food for a few months now from Amazon."
"Oh and before my zoey had her bladder stone in nov (surgery followed) but she really should not have another surgery after c-section, soft tissue repair and bone repair, anyway before all I fed them was science diet small bites."

"However, just a couple days after transitioning back into his pacific stream, his stools became the worst they have ever been and it was all we could do to get him to walk w/o him stopping to eat grass the whole way (which just gave him more problems when it was time to go poop)... So overall I would have given this food 5 stars when we first started using it but after our experience with the last bag I can honestly say that we will not buy it again. I had seen reviews elsewhere of people's dogs getting sick on their most recent bags of TOTW but since I didn't see anything alarming on Amazon I figured we would continue to purchase it since he liked it.""Since having that epiphany and learning so much about dog food, I've always made sure to feed them the highest quality grain free food I can buy... Since switching to a grain free diet, the yellow lab has not had any more seizures in over a year, and the black lab has the silkiest coat you've ever seen and his skin allergies are completely gone... I also believe TOTW has a better formulation for them and their life style (some of the products, like Orijen, are simply too rich for the average household dog, despite being made of the best ingredients available)."
"the occasional change in flavors as there is another one or two flavors that carry the same percentage of ingredients/nutrients, which is extemely important to a Bulldog puppy where the amount of protein they take in can effect their bone and joint development.... Some flavors cost more than others, such as the Wild Boar coming in a 14lbs or 28lbs bag instead of 15lbs or 30lbs that most of the other flavors do and it also cost's more than the rest of the other flavors, but I stick with the Pacific Stream Formula with Smoked Salmon anyway. You can easily buy a 5 or 15lbs bag and use it lightly to infuse a different flavor to the Salmon just so they don't get tired of the same flavor every day, but otherwise the Pacific Stream is great and very healthy."
"She would take a bite here and there , She would eat the whole thing but it would take her hours... I also tried Taste of Wild dried and wet food and then I read that the salmon was smoked... I also stopped eating Smoked Salmon and Lox myself :) I bought Paul Newsman's brand which she kind of liked and then I discovered Trader Joe's Chicken Chunks that she loves."
"She was not eating great when we first brought her home (which is fairly typical), but she sure was trying to get in the big dog's bowl... We did the whole mixing her familiar food with TOTW bit, that we're used-to, but ignored any "puppy" preferences in transition (something we probably should have realized long before now) and she's never had any issues. Bottom line: any commercially-produced pet food isn't going to be 'perfect,' but next to properly preparing all their food in your own kitchen, Taste of the Wild is a very high quality dog food in our family's experience."
"I've been buying this food for a few months now from Amazon... The latest box had another smaller item in it and it was missing altogether... A detailed summary of your adjusted order, can be found here: I have also sent the feedback to Fedex regarding the shipping box."
"I tried a sample of some chews which I am thinking about but want to see what this does... Oh and before my zoey had her bladder stone in nov (surgery followed) but she really should not have another surgery after c-section, soft tissue repair and bone repair, anyway before all I fed them was science diet small bites... Yes it is a bit more frustrating that we paid for the good food and now have problems with our dogs."

"However, just a couple days after transitioning back into his pacific stream, his stools became the worst they have ever been and it was all we could do to get him to walk w/o him stopping to eat grass the whole way (which just gave him more problems when it was time to go poop)... Stopped feeding him the TOTW that night and made him chicken/rice instead with some low sodium broth in his water to encourage him to drink and picked up some pumpkin to help things along... By Sunday afternoon he was back to his playful self and his last two poops have been the best he's had since that very first bag of food we got him - the joys of dog ownership right? :) It sucks that we'll just have to eat the $40 we spent on this last TOTW bag that was barely used since I'm too nervous to try it out again ... So overall I would have given this food 5 stars when we first started using it but after our experience with the last bag I can honestly say that we will not buy it again. I had seen reviews elsewhere of people's dogs getting sick on their most recent bags of TOTW but since I didn't see anything alarming on Amazon I figured we would continue to purchase it since he liked it. I don't know if their quality has been going downhill recently or what but we wont be buying from this brand again.""I finally learned it was her food, which was the most expensive store bought brand my local Sams Warehouse carries... My black Lab also had terrible skin allergies, to the point where I would get a small rash on my skin if he laid next to me on the couch for more than 5 minutes at a time... Since having that epiphany and learning so much about dog food, I've always made sure to feed them the highest quality grain free food I can buy... Since switching to a grain free diet, the yellow lab has not had any more seizures in over a year, and the black lab has the silkiest coat you've ever seen and his skin allergies are completely gone... I also believe TOTW has a better formulation for them and their life style (some of the products, like Orijen, are simply too rich for the average household dog, despite being made of the best ingredients available)... I use one whole can of wet per meal with my pack, which is convinient so I don't have to store it in the refrigerator - btw, never store canned dog food in the fridge in the original aluminum container! I still wish I could find a less expensive product with the same quality, but in the mean time, TOTW is the best choice for my pack."
"My breeder uses this food for all her English Bulldogs and so I started my 8 week old puppy on it when he was able to at about 10 weeks... the occasional change in flavors as there is another one or two flavors that carry the same percentage of ingredients/nutrients, which is extemely important to a Bulldog puppy where the amount of protein they take in can effect their bone and joint development.. Both Butch and Daisy are extremely happy, healthy puppies who have now graduated from the puppy formula's to the adult formula, which has a slightly bigger kibble size than the smaller puppy kibble... I know a lot if not most of the grain free dog foods are very expensive, but TOTW isn't one of them... With prices at $45 for a $30 bag, I would definitely say that its one of the low to medium priced foods and one of the lower grain-free dog foods that you can get overall.
"Yup her grandparents were hippies in the 60's so obviously they were very promiscuous :) She looks like a Lab/shepherd mix her DNA test picked these breeds... Since the only meat I eat is salmon, I thought I would make that her main protein source... She would take a bite here and there , She would eat the whole thing but it would take her hours... I also tried Taste of Wild dried and wet food and then I read that the salmon was smoked... I also stopped eating Smoked Salmon and Lox myself :) I bought Paul Newsman's brand which she kind of liked and then I discovered Trader Joe's Chicken Chunks that she loves... It's 1/2 of the price of other products, it has all natural ingredients, and she licks her bowl clean in 5 minutes flat... I don't want her to get hip problems when she gets older."
"TOTW is one of those brands where you should actually read and follow the bag instructions... definitely add water to their food and heed the amount suggestions (it can be higher or lower than the food your pups were on before, depending on the brand/content)... We've had picky eaters--which seems odd when Labs are in the discussion--and they do very well with this food... She was not eating great when we first brought her home (which is fairly typical), but she sure was trying to get in the big dog's bowl... "puppy" food is mostly a matter of marketing and that having them all on the same food wasn't going to hurt anything.
If they could just ship the bag of food I'm sure it would fare better. Although I'm sure UPS and Fedex won't allow that even though they are the one's who damage the boxes... Me:I think this was a Fedex issue Aiko:Oh I see, do not worry I'll send a report to Fedex regarding this issue so their management will be aware of this... A detailed summary of your adjusted order, can be found here: I have also sent the feedback to Fedex regarding the shipping box. Is there anything else that I may assist you with?"
"My morkie is eating select fresh for puppies and my border collies I thought I would try this food... I tried a sample of some chews which I am thinking about but want to see what this does. I have read reviews and people are saying this may just fix him. In addition, my girl border collie is 8 years young but is now going through her 2 bladder stone... Don't know but I have been more active with them too!...
