I typically leave it overnight, or I do it after morning coffee and then let it sit until evening so it's ready in the morning. You also need to pour in the solution, fill the reservoir with water, then run the Keurig without a pod until you need to add water... I have the smaller reservoir, I think 48oz, and I filled this with water... I do not think you would want to fill this entirely up with water because the solution would be too diluted. The instructions are not clear on this point and should state how much water to add to the solution."
