After some research I learned that they were compression pads and had a lot to offer someone who goes as hard as I do in the box... When I tell you that once I put these on that the difference was like night and day, please believe it!... I'd never worn compression pads before so I didn't know what to expect, but I was back in business... I'm not the type to leave a review on Amazon, but the service I received and the experience I had with these sleeves convinced me that I needed to do so... At first this seemed comfortable snug, but I noticed on the second day of use that the medium sleeve left my leg bruised and tender... I've worn them everyday for a week now with NO knee pain and no tenderness in my thigh from the sleeve... If you want to manage knee pain, I recommend these wholeheartedly, but I'd also recommend ordering a size up if you are within an inch of the upper limit."

Perfect fit, has rubber grips on the inside to keep the sleeve stable, and does a great job supporting my knees when I'm doing weights on the leg and cardio. Honestly, as a consumer i was skeptical because the price I paid [$9 on lightning sale] thought these were going to be cheap... For those that had prior injuries to the knees, this is a must. When and if I do any walking during the 2 weeks of bed rest I have to wear a splint otherwise I feel as if my leg will dislocate... I slipped this on over my bad knees when it was 4 times the actual size. The swelling went down dramatically within the first few hours and the heat dissipated by morning. After two weeks of reading and researching online the Blitzu company kept coming up with high ratings. Like I do with most stuff I buy I checked Amazon to see if they had the sleeves... I could have gotten the medium size but decided to go into the large as I was at the last size for medium and I didn't want to have issues of wearing if my knees were swollen up... I have some minor pain climbing the stairs with them on nothing like without using them... Depending on what happens after my MRI and follow up with orthopedic doctor I will be buying a second set so that when I am washing one I can have the other set on."
