I recommend only misting the paints you are working with at the time, and don't fill the pans with water--just put in enough water to make the paint "workable... The colors were all very bright, with purple being the only one that was a bit transparent and also a bit shimmery compared to the others. The glitter gel that comes with the kit is kind of nice, but I recommend you put it on over the paint after it's thoroughly dry, although now that I think of it, it might be worth trying to mix it with the paint on some kind of a palette and applying them together while wet. All in all, I'm pleased with the kit and I would definitely recommend it for your (non-professional grade) face or body paint needs."

"I got to reaply it many times to say the least and honestly this kit made it sooooo much easier!... This kit has inspired me to possibly do more face painting for others too! Even the glitter dries nicely and isnt like a big blob on your face, it doesnt smudge much either after drying. After 3 times of applying the white all over my daughters face I am just starting to see some of the bottom of the package so that should give you an idea of how long these will last you. If you paint faces for others for cash you may need something bigger if you are doing full faces, but for moms (or dads) who face paint at home it works great! I painted about 20 children's faces (full face designs) over a 3 hour period and ran out of white, and almost ran out of pink and light blue as well. Another reviewer mentioned they could paint for a full day but based on my experience that claim seems exaggeration unless that reviewer was painting small designs. I'm not sure how well these paints will last, since they can't be covered -- I assume they will dry out... If that's what you're looking for, and you can bring a few things of your own..."
