They are slightly large/relaxed when you first put them on and they do stretch out the longer you wear them so I would recommend ordering your regular size or down one size if you're going to wear them for a long period of time because they do stretch out. After washing, they shrink a little but then stretch right back out again to a comfortable size. I also have the size large that I wear out for hiking or yoga because they fit better than the XL. I love the wide mid rise waist band and the wider leg which seems more feminine and not so ' Jock' style. I can wear these out and not feel too sloppy in sweats... They are great for winter but I actually wear these year round."
