"The middle of the heel-strike is a little harder than the surrounding area and some people have complained about it, but I haven't been bothered by it in the short periods of time I've spent in them.""The thong is a canvas upper with some sort of softer material on the part that rests against the top of your foot, while the part that splits your toes is made of the same slightly softer material (but still very durable) and curves the same as the webbing between your toes to keep it from chafing the insides of your toes."
"When you first get these, they seem too small for your feet to fit between the sole and the strap."
"I have found that the material slowly wears away though, so you can see the bottom layer peeking through (especially around the ball of your feet), but this is after about a year of medium-heavy use."
"I have not been able to find them for a few years now and got these."
"I'm going to keep them and I expect they will work out just fine, but if you have wide feet, get one size up from your normal shoe size and expect them to still be a tight fit."
"I wear them in the house and outside as well and they are the only things on my feet besides nothing and a pair of Merrel hiking shoes."

"The middle of the heel-strike is a little harder than the surrounding area and some people have complained about it, but I haven't been bothered by it in the short periods of time I've spent in them... They won't likely last as long as some of the heavier sandals, but they can be had for half the cost... Again, they are fairly light, weighing in at 134g, and I got these a full size up from the other two because everyone said they ran small.""Teva's Mush flip flops are a classic standby, being mushy enough that your feet sink into them thoroughly, while also being sturdy and waterproof enough to use as kayaking, canoeing, or river shoes... The thong is a canvas upper with some sort of softer material on the part that rests against the top of your foot, while the part that splits your toes is made of the same slightly softer material (but still very durable) and curves the same as the webbing between your toes to keep it from chafing the insides of your toes... I got a pair that was apparently a less popular color that was 50% off and while I really like them, I don't see myself paying full price for them."
"When you first get these, they seem too small for your feet to fit between the sole and the strap... After about a year of roughly four of five miles per day, the first pair has squished down pretty thin, and they're about to be retired. That means the second pair will become my everyday walking shoes, and I have a third pair being broken in."
"I have found that the material slowly wears away though, so you can see the bottom layer peeking through (especially around the ball of your feet), but this is after about a year of medium-heavy use. It is true that the logo near the heel of your foot remains solid as the material around it conforms to your foot, but I've never had an issue with it... Overall, these flip flops are well made, soft, and comfortable, and I'll definitely be looking towards Teva for my next pair."
"I have not been able to find them for a few years now and got these... I don't have much of an arch so I was a little worried they might not work but they do not bother me at all... Teva also could have use a softer material on the back side of the foot straps."
"I would say I'm generally happy with them so far, but I have wide feet and they are a little on the narrow side... I decided to wear them around the house a little anyway and found that it wasn't as bad as I first thought... I'm going to keep them and I expect they will work out just fine, but if you have wide feet, get one size up from your normal shoe size and expect them to still be a tight fit."
"They don't actually seem to wear down they just compress until they're too thin but the tread and straps are still intact. I wear them in the house and outside as well and they are the only things on my feet besides nothing and a pair of Merrel hiking shoes... The reason this is important to me is because when these start to thin out, that logo insert was hard and would give me heel bruises."

"The middle of the heel-strike is a little harder than the surrounding area and some people have complained about it, but I haven't been bothered by it in the short periods of time I've spent in them... Reef Leather Slap ll - (Mens 9) Oddly, this sandal was a full size shorter than any other Reefs I tried, (A full 1/2 inch), so order up... Reasonably soft heel-strike with an average width footbed and just the right amount of arch support. They won't likely last as long as some of the heavier sandals, but they can be had for half the cost... Again, they are fairly light, weighing in at 134g, and I got these a full size up from the other two because everyone said they ran small... Reef Twinpin - (9) These basic synthetic leather sandals are fairly light at 137g each, and they have a slender footbed, but the thong is very lose and has no additional heel-strike... Teva Mush ll (Canvas) (9) I listed these as well because the canvas thong fits more loosely than the regular Mush ll's and weighed a little more.""Teva's Mush flip flops are a classic standby, being mushy enough that your feet sink into them thoroughly, while also being sturdy and waterproof enough to use as kayaking, canoeing, or river shoes. The problem with the old mush flip flops was that the give was enough that any dirt would tend to stay embedded in the mush, making them less than ideal for beaches or very dirty places... They're waterproof/durable like almost every Teva product, so they're now usable as shower shoes or beach sandals as well since they won't retain dirt and grime. The thong is a canvas upper with some sort of softer material on the part that rests against the top of your foot, while the part that splits your toes is made of the same slightly softer material (but still very durable) and curves the same as the webbing between your toes to keep it from chafing the insides of your toes. Overall these are probably some of the most comfortable flip flops I've worn, and definitely the most durable... If you're looking for a flip flop style with super comfort and plan to use them as regular shoes all the time, I'd go with the older model or a different model completely though. I got a pair that was apparently a less popular color that was 50% off and while I really like them, I don't see myself paying full price for them."
"When you first get these, they seem too small for your feet to fit between the sole and the strap. After a few dozen wearings, they start to mold to your feet... I rarely wear shoes, so I wore the first pair of these pretty much all the time for a year. After that long, the soles start to soften and you can feel everything underneath... That's why I started breaking in a new pair before the old ones wear out... After about a year of roughly four of five miles per day, the first pair has squished down pretty thin, and they're about to be retired. That means the second pair will become my everyday walking shoes, and I have a third pair being broken in."
"As you can probably tell from the name, the sole is slightly mushy on top, and feels like foam. Over time, the sole has slowly compressed into the shape of my foot, which is definitely a good thing - you can tell if you accidentally put on someone else's pair. I have found that the material slowly wears away though, so you can see the bottom layer peeking through (especially around the ball of your feet), but this is after about a year of medium-heavy use. It is true that the logo near the heel of your foot remains solid as the material around it conforms to your foot, but I've never had an issue with it... However, if you are prone to tripping, you might find that the foam-like upper layer slowly gets chipped off... This means you will sometimes have to dry your flip flops, or feel the water as you walk in them... Overall, these flip flops are well made, soft, and comfortable, and I'll definitely be looking towards Teva for my next pair."
"I have not been able to find them for a few years now and got these... I have been wearing them a little bit more now that the weather is nicer... I don't have much of an arch so I was a little worried they might not work but they do not bother me at all. I was also concerned that I bought a size too large as with a plastic school type ruler I measured almost 10in... The only complaint I have is the same one I read about before I got these. The material for the toe strap is uncomfortable and takes some getting used to. Teva also could have use a softer material on the back side of the foot straps."
"* I don't usually wear flip flops, haven't owned a pair in over twenty years. I got these to stick in my travel bad because they don't take up much space. I would say I'm generally happy with them so far, but I have wide feet and they are a little on the narrow side... When I first tried them on, initially thought they were too tight on the sides. I decided to wear them around the house a little anyway and found that it wasn't as bad as I first thought... Also the mush is already starting to form to my feet after one day and the more it does the loser they feel. I'm going to keep them and I expect they will work out just fine, but if you have wide feet, get one size up from your normal shoe size and expect them to still be a tight fit."
"They don't actually seem to wear down they just compress until they're too thin but the tread and straps are still intact. I wear them in the house and outside as well and they are the only things on my feet besides nothing and a pair of Merrel hiking shoes. They look good and feel good and I will buy them as long as they make them at this quality. Our cat likes to lay on them when they're not on my feet and he chooses his pillows carefully... I flatten out two pair of these a year because I'm big and tall and used to wearing out cloths and shoes... The reason this is important to me is because when these start to thin out, that logo insert was hard and would give me heel bruises. Apparently not anymore so I'm looking forward to that."
