P&J Trading Floral Set of 6 Premium Grade Fragrance Oils - Violet, Jasmine, Rose, Lilac, Freesia, Gardenia - 10ml

Very Quick

"Lilac = For my own reason Lilac is a scent I hate, and I was actually not to thrilled it came in this set BUT having said that, this bottle smells NOTHING like Lilac, why did I still give it 5 stars, because again I hate Lilac, this one doesn't smell like it so for me that's a good thing."

"All the scents in the bottle are extremely realistic, but for some reason, after the floral smell leaves, there is another "after-smell" that lingers when using the oils in a humidifier."

"However, here are my thoughts about each scent individually (I remember one reviewer did the same and it helped me a lot) Freesia: Smells fresh Gardenia: a little heavy for me- this is a preference and not a criticism of the product."

"Now I hold the bottle at an angle, the oil drips nicely, and I use 3-4 drops which creates a scent you can smell without being too overpowering."

"Perhaps it was my bad--but I thought (based in part on the glowing reviews these oils garnered) these oils would smell like the flowers from which they are supposed to be distilled."

"When you mix it for diffusers with vodka & water, just swirl it about before judging that the floral notes aren't hitting your olfactory receptors, because honey, they are."

"Jasmine - disappointing; doesn't smell like jasmine Rose - not very strong and clearly mixed with other scents; better try a different company if you really want a pure and strong rose smell (also disappointing) - Eternal Essece has a much much better rose scent Gardenia - not bad; smells like soap Lilac - pretty good; can definitely smell the lilac but Eternal Essence oils are still better and just as cheap Violet - weak; smells more like peony than anything Freesia - has a bubble gum smell to it NONE of these have a pure smell of the flower they are supposed to be representative of."

"First off ladies and gentleman these are FRAGRANCE OILS so please stop going nuts over the fact that they are not essential oils, the description itself tells you "fragrance oils"... Lilac = For my own reason Lilac is a scent I hate, and I was actually not to thrilled it came in this set BUT having said that, this bottle smells NOTHING like Lilac, why did I still give it 5 stars, because again I hate Lilac, this one doesn't smell like it so for me that's a good thing... Jasmine = Also a very nice, sweet, perfume smell, these might go great in a shampoo, maybe a lotion (not to much though because it will over power), I will probably use mine for diffuser sticks in my bathrooms."

"* I hesitated to give only 3 stars, based on my purpose for ordering these and how I've been using them, because for any other purpose, they may have ranked much higher... I used just 2 drops in the sponge that came with the humidifier, and the smell was so extremely loud that I had to close my office door, as it was smelling so strongly throughout the whole office that people were complaining... All the scents in the bottle are extremely realistic, but for some reason, after the floral smell leaves, there is another "after-smell" that lingers when using the oils in a humidifier."

"However, here are my thoughts about each scent individually (I remember one reviewer did the same and it helped me a lot) Freesia: Smells fresh Gardenia: a little heavy for me- this is a preference and not a criticism of the product. If you like gardenia, you could like this :) Lilac: Doesn't really smell like lilac, but it still smells like a nice floral blend Rose: I like it... It's not too heavy Violet: I am not sure how violets are supposed to smell like- but I can say I do like this scent."

"Now I hold the bottle at an angle, the oil drips nicely, and I use 3-4 drops which creates a scent you can smell without being too overpowering... I'm not super familiar with those flowers, so I don't know how accurate the oils are as compared to the real flowers, but I like the scents... It's why I purchased the set, so even if the freesia doesn't work out I still feel good about the purchase."

"Perhaps it was my bad--but I thought (based in part on the glowing reviews these oils garnered) these oils would smell like the flowers from which they are supposed to be distilled... Compared to the actual flowers, this small bottle of freesia fragrance oil is sickly sweet compared to the flowers and not at all pleasant... Very clear rose scent, not muddied with chemicals or other odd notes."

"My roommate & I just made a bunch of diffusers & room sprays with these fragrances, so if you were buying a bunch of essential oils & felt like you weren't making great diffusers, BUY THIS SET... When you mix it for diffusers with vodka & water, just swirl it about before judging that the floral notes aren't hitting your olfactory receptors, because honey, they are. Quick pro tip: Violet (25 drops) + lemon essential oil (7-10 drops) = natural Febreeze Rose (25 drops) + Geranium essential oil (10 drops) + lemon (5-8 drops) = Kind of smells like the rose scented stuff at LUSH."

"Very disappointing - especially because the main oil I was looking forward to receiving was the Jasmine. Jasmine - disappointing; doesn't smell like jasmine Rose - not very strong and clearly mixed with other scents; better try a different company if you really want a pure and strong rose smell (also disappointing) - Eternal Essece has a much much better rose scent Gardenia - not bad; smells like soap Lilac - pretty good; can definitely smell the lilac but Eternal Essence oils are still better and just as cheap Violet - weak; smells more like peony than anything Freesia - has a bubble gum smell to it NONE of these have a pure smell of the flower they are supposed to be representative of... If you plan on using these for making perfume (like I had planned to do), then look somewhere else because these are basically perfumes (mixes of scents) already."

"First off ladies and gentleman these are FRAGRANCE OILS so please stop going nuts over the fact that they are not essential oils, the description itself tells you "fragrance oils"... I had not even opened the box yet when the scents hit me, I thought perhaps a bottle was broken, but no they were in great condition. Gardenia = Very nice floral scent, this one is not to over baring but I'm sure that 1 drop will be more than enough... Jasmine = Also a very nice, sweet, perfume smell, these might go great in a shampoo, maybe a lotion (not to much though because it will over power), I will probably use mine for diffuser sticks in my bathrooms... Now it doesn't smell exactly like the flowers outside, but more like an essential oil of a rose... Freesia = I don't really have anything to compare this too since I have no idea what Freesia is but on the plus side the scent is not too strong and smells nice."

Even after I removed the sponge from the humidifier, the next day, my office had this funky smell in it - reminded me of the kind of odor you smell when you walk into an old, used book store or a semi-basement smell... It has been over 5 days since I used any oil in my humidifier, and my office still reeks of that odd "after-smell"... I don't recommend them for use in an aroma-therapy humidifier, but they would surely be great for scenting candles or other aroma-therapeutic purposes... All the scents in the bottle are extremely realistic, but for some reason, after the floral smell leaves, there is another "after-smell" that lingers when using the oils in a humidifier. I have to wonder if anyone else has used these in a humidifier and have encountered the same lingering and unpleasant "after scent" for days after using them?"

"I use essential oil diffusers around my home all day and wanted to try some floral scents. Thanks to many reviewers, I had a heads up and I knew that these were not pure or organic and that they were blends... However, here are my thoughts about each scent individually (I remember one reviewer did the same and it helped me a lot) Freesia: Smells fresh Gardenia: a little heavy for me- this is a preference and not a criticism of the product. If you like gardenia, you could like this :) Lilac: Doesn't really smell like lilac, but it still smells like a nice floral blend Rose: I like it... It's not too heavy Violet: I am not sure how violets are supposed to smell like- but I can say I do like this scent... Actually, when I opened the bottle, I must have gotten some on my finger and I can't get the smell off- it is nauseating... (ok, I will leave it at that) I did get the heads up from many reviewers but I didn't think it was this bad!"

"* I bought this set for the jasmine and I think it smells great... There was a pause and then at least 10 drops came pouring out, which is way too much. Now I hold the bottle at an angle, the oil drips nicely, and I use 3-4 drops which creates a scent you can smell without being too overpowering. The rose and gardenia smell exactly like the actual flowers... I'm not super familiar with those flowers, so I don't know how accurate the oils are as compared to the real flowers, but I like the scents... It's why I purchased the set, so even if the freesia doesn't work out I still feel good about the purchase... I was worried that they would leak during shipping but they are sealed tightly and it's a quality product."

"* I'm quite disappointed with my purchase of these oils. Perhaps it was my bad--but I thought (based in part on the glowing reviews these oils garnered) these oils would smell like the flowers from which they are supposed to be distilled... Compared to the actual flowers, this small bottle of freesia fragrance oil is sickly sweet compared to the flowers and not at all pleasant... Very clear rose scent, not muddied with chemicals or other odd notes... (This is the reason for two stars in stead of one. ) Violet: Floral--but what kind of flower?... I would suggest you use your fragrance oil funds in a different direction."

"My roommate & I just made a bunch of diffusers & room sprays with these fragrances, so if you were buying a bunch of essential oils & felt like you weren't making great diffusers, BUY THIS SET... Heck, buy ANY set from these guys, because their oils are so lovely... Jasmine is really strong, so I prefer the essential oil from NOW Foods better... When you mix it for diffusers with vodka & water, just swirl it about before judging that the floral notes aren't hitting your olfactory receptors, because honey, they are. Quick pro tip: Violet (25 drops) + lemon essential oil (7-10 drops) = natural Febreeze Rose (25 drops) + Geranium essential oil (10 drops) + lemon (5-8 drops) = Kind of smells like the rose scented stuff at LUSH... If you have some rose hip oil, add it to your soaps + these fragrances & just soak it all up... I am so happy with this product & I'd recommend it to anyone who's interested in making their own soaps, diffusers, perfumes, etc."

"* There are just mixed fragrance oils - they do NOT smell like the pure flower... Although they do smell good, they are nowhere close to being pure scents. The jasmine is ESPECIALLY bad - I had to really pay attention to the scent in order to discover some jasmine in there. Very disappointing - especially because the main oil I was looking forward to receiving was the Jasmine. Jasmine - disappointing; doesn't smell like jasmine Rose - not very strong and clearly mixed with other scents; better try a different company if you really want a pure and strong rose smell (also disappointing) - Eternal Essece has a much much better rose scent Gardenia - not bad; smells like soap Lilac - pretty good; can definitely smell the lilac but Eternal Essence oils are still better and just as cheap Violet - weak; smells more like peony than anything Freesia - has a bubble gum smell to it NONE of these have a pure smell of the flower they are supposed to be representative of. They don't smell bad so at least I don't have to completely toss them out. If you plan on using these for making perfume (like I had planned to do), then look somewhere else because these are basically perfumes (mixes of scents) already."
