Nature's Miracle Disposable Litter Box, Jumbo, 2-Pack

"I've also never had to worry (After I started using these anyway) how I was going to clean up a huge clump of gravity defying, g-force flying, stubbornly stuck, clod of litter that just landed in the air plant my mother-in-law gave me for my birthday because she wanted to remind me that unlike her, I don't have a green thumb."

"When we first got our kittens, they were just over 10 weeks old and my husband was concerned they would have trouble getting into their first litter box (hence the Sterilite plastic shoe box "step")."

"This has been such a pleasant surprise that I can't write enough good things about it; especially since it doesn't have a lot in the way of reviews."

"I was so happy when one of the merchants began shipping them out covered in protective plastic but the carriers will find a way to crush the shipping box which breaks the protective covering so insects/dirt still get inside in transit."

"With that being said, the rim of the box does shred easily, I cannot comment on the bottom or sides because my cat doesn t touch those areas."

"One nice thing about this product is that since it's disposable, you can just stop using it when it's due to be discarded if it's not the right fit for you (no need to find a new home for the item in the same way that you might for a plastic box)."

"The disposable box lasts approximately 3 weeks to a month (less for the Wonderbox), and if I feel it's clean enough, I can still sometimes use the unscooped portion of the litter by pouring it off into the next box."

"Besides being more sanitary I really like the idea that when I'm done with it, this will overtime dissolve and not be a plastic product that hundreds of years from now people will be looking at wondering..... this nastiness has accumulated to the point of "ITS the time to: empty, scrape, swear, get full huge turd into garbage bag with no mishaps, dig, scrape some more, curse because a particularly problematic clump of hard urine required force that just flung it across the kitchen, scrape the last bit and finally manage to get 96... I've also never had to worry (After I started using these anyway) how I was going to clean up a huge clump of gravity defying, g-force flying, stubbornly stuck, clod of litter that just landed in the air plant my mother-in-law gave me for my birthday because she wanted to remind me that unlike her, I don't have a green thumb."

"Realistically, these cost almost as much as buying new plastic boxes and don't last as long but I prefer them since they're biodegradable... Litter Genie Plus Ultimate Cat Litter Odor Control Pail If you're interested in a scoop that doesn't require the shaking back and forth, the Litter Lifter is great because the slats run vertical, allowing the clean litter to fall through more easily than others we've used... When we first got our kittens, they were just over 10 weeks old and my husband was concerned they would have trouble getting into their first litter box (hence the Sterilite plastic shoe box "step")."

"* While I've had my one cat for more than 10 years and never had a litter box issue, my new cat I adopted in March has reminded me that 'every one' is different... I'm still putting two bags of liner in the box first, then the Nature's Made (I figured it would make it easier having the extra support when pulling it out to change)... This has been such a pleasant surprise that I can't write enough good things about it; especially since it doesn't have a lot in the way of reviews."

"6/29/16: I still use these inside a plastic litter box and with liners on the outside, but I've had terrible problems with the *condition* of the boxes being sent to me... the only issue I have with these 'paper mache' boxes is that they sometimes come with insects and other dirt and grime from warehouse & during shipping. I was so happy when one of the merchants began shipping them out covered in protective plastic but the carriers will find a way to crush the shipping box which breaks the protective covering so insects/dirt still get inside in transit."

"With that being said, the rim of the box does shred easily, I cannot comment on the bottom or sides because my cat doesn t touch those areas... We keep it in our small kitchen and have never smelled that cat pee smell since we ve been using the system we have now... She has not gone to the bathroom anywhere but the litter box for months now!"

"However, having used these for only about a month (I have two cats), I have already encountered two incidents where urine seems to have leaked through the bottom of the box... For now, I've had to line the area underneath and around the box with paper grocery bags to try to catch future leaks before they get to the carpet, but I think I'll need to buy a waterproof litter mat to go underneath the box if I really want to protect my carpet... One nice thing about this product is that since it's disposable, you can just stop using it when it's due to be discarded if it's not the right fit for you (no need to find a new home for the item in the same way that you might for a plastic box)."

"My cat pees in the same corner of the litter box most of the time, and I find that the material of the Wonderbox gums up a bit when wet, and shreds when the scooper scrapes the bottom, whereas the Nature's Miracle Boxes do not... The disposable box lasts approximately 3 weeks to a month (less for the Wonderbox), and if I feel it's clean enough, I can still sometimes use the unscooped portion of the litter by pouring it off into the next box... I don't bother with the air filter thing in the covered box, because there is virtually no smell due to using these boxes and the best litter I've ever used; http://www."

When I get to that point, or close to it, all I need to do is slide the nasty filled, old, disposable litter pan into a doubled up olive garden bag, seal with duct tape, throw in trash and replace with a new, empty, sweet smelling, disposable litter pan... I've also never had to worry (After I started using these anyway) how I was going to clean up a huge clump of gravity defying, g-force flying, stubbornly stuck, clod of litter that just landed in the air plant my mother-in-law gave me for my birthday because she wanted to remind me that unlike her, I don't have a green thumb... Before you can say 1, 2, 3 Ill be done and adding new litter to my clean, sweet smelling, eco-friendly litter pan AT LEAST half hour or sooner than someone who's using the regular kind... I'm only guessing about why they are built this way but I can see how this would make them easier to stack and transport one inside the other... This breaks/cuts out the clump and as you know, if you use clumping litter, once you break a clump it basically disintegrates into lots of small pieces unless you get a "lucky "clump that only breaks into 2-4 pieces."

"Since the ammonia smell leaches into the plastic and one of our kittens scratches a lot, it was looking like I'd need to replace them before long. We buy unscented litter since it's best for cats' sensitive noses and these help keep the smells down since they're made with baking soda. Realistically, these cost almost as much as buying new plastic boxes and don't last as long but I prefer them since they're biodegradable... They definitely would work fine alone but would need to be changed every six weeks or so minimum (we have 3 boxes between 2 cats)... For regular scooping, we got a litter genie here that I'd recommend too (although we don't use the expensive refill bags). Litter Genie Plus Ultimate Cat Litter Odor Control Pail If you're interested in a scoop that doesn't require the shaking back and forth, the Litter Lifter is great because the slats run vertical, allowing the clean litter to fall through more easily than others we've used... I'm still putting two bags of liner in the box first, then the Nature's Made (I figured it would make it easier having the extra support when pulling it out to change)... It's tight enough to where it won't sink all the way to the bottom without forcing it... I no longer have to add copious amounts of baking soda to cover her smell or use an air freshner in her room (so, I assume the claims of being made with baking soda are true)... I have found a little discoloration, but I'm very happy with how well it seems to be holding up under the use of 2 cats... When I got home, I found it was a different company, but every thing is the same; from the size, color, baking soda claim and crinkly look... This has been such a pleasant surprise that I can't write enough good things about it; especially since it doesn't have a lot in the way of reviews."

"Both were gross but after I sprayed the top box w/some natural, for-cats only litter box spray it was like the Luminol of weird web-like substances... Either way, the other bugs are sickening enough and it's clear that I will no longer purchase NM litter boxes from Amazon. 6/29/16: I still use these inside a plastic litter box and with liners on the outside, but I've had terrible problems with the *condition* of the boxes being sent to me... But upon closer inspection I've found a ton- far too many insects inside the lower boxes and I turned them all over to find something inexplicable... the only issue I have with these 'paper mache' boxes is that they sometimes come with insects and other dirt and grime from warehouse & during shipping. I was so happy when one of the merchants began shipping them out covered in protective plastic but the carriers will find a way to crush the shipping box which breaks the protective covering so insects/dirt still get inside in transit... My spine will not allow me to bend over a trash barrel to dump litter and to next crouch over a bath tub to wash out his large plastic pee stained litter box every week."

"Ya know, like one that is trying to win the cat Olympics with the Litter Toss event and scores straight 10 s across the board going home with the gold... With that being said, the rim of the box does shred easily, I cannot comment on the bottom or sides because my cat doesn t touch those areas... They hold up excellent with the walnut clumping litter we use, I can t comment on clay littler because I ve never used it with these boxes. Between the baking soda built into the box and the walnut litter, urine smells do not exist, at all... We keep it in our small kitchen and have never smelled that cat pee smell since we ve been using the system we have now... Everyone that has cats that comes to our house asks us what we use for littler, because it works THAT well... She has not gone to the bathroom anywhere but the litter box for months now!"

"However, having used these for only about a month (I have two cats), I have already encountered two incidents where urine seems to have leaked through the bottom of the box. The sections of the box walls that are indented, where the indentations begin and those inside edges meet the bottom of the box, seem to be the most vulnerable areas. Inside the box, these areas form small, "sharper" corners that I believe aren't strong enough to withstand contact with cat urine (and they are not as strong as the "normal" corners of the box, which have a smoother surface and more gradual curvature). For anybody who's curious, I'm using SmartCat grass-based clumping litter, and yes: I do scoop the box very regularly... For now, I've had to line the area underneath and around the box with paper grocery bags to try to catch future leaks before they get to the carpet, but I think I'll need to buy a waterproof litter mat to go underneath the box if I really want to protect my carpet. Other than that, the concept is great, and disposing of my first one was very easy - no deep-cleaning, just put it in a garbage bag and throw it away... One nice thing about this product is that since it's disposable, you can just stop using it when it's due to be discarded if it's not the right fit for you (no need to find a new home for the item in the same way that you might for a plastic box)."

"My cat pees in the same corner of the litter box most of the time, and I find that the material of the Wonderbox gums up a bit when wet, and shreds when the scooper scrapes the bottom, whereas the Nature's Miracle Boxes do not. Why and how I use these: I have an extremely busy schedule, but I was feeling guilty throwing out so many plastic liners and waste... The disposable box lasts approximately 3 weeks to a month (less for the Wonderbox), and if I feel it's clean enough, I can still sometimes use the unscooped portion of the litter by pouring it off into the next box. I do scoop every day, and have noticed that the clumps stay together and are a bit drier when using these... They are pretty thick and I have never had them leak through, even though my kitty pees in the same spot all the time, sometimes having dug the litter away from that area... I place the disposable box inside the liner, both inside the covered box, then after locking the cover down, I turn up the sides of the plastic liner to catch any possible leaks between the gap where the cover meets the box. I don't bother with the air filter thing in the covered box, because there is virtually no smell due to using these boxes and the best litter I've ever used; http://www."
