They are full cut briefs with a stretchable waistband... LOL We purchased the grey & black set & they were about $7 cheaper than our local retail store. Price fluctuates a lot, so if you are considering purchasing, I'd recommend adding them to your cart, & then you can keep an eye on them to see if the price changes... Up until the time they started making them tag free briefs, he would always cut the tags out because sometimes tags are irritating... I have a 31 inch waist (a large small or small medium) and bought small because I don't like floppy undies if you get my drift. 3 of them are on the small size and very tight going over my hips. The other ones are probably medium (marked small) and are loose, not excessive but loose. I have other Hanes briefs that I bought years ago and are great with no issues. You won t have to worry about shrinkage with this set of briefs, they do come pre-shrunk already!... And, after dozens of washes these briefs hold their dark colors like the day that you received them... They take a LOT of wear and tear before you can say they are worn out! It's a shame because the rest of the underwear is fine; but the elastic in the waist stretches out to almost twice the size and..... If I'm in the bedroom wearing just the underwear and walk to the bathroom they literally fall down to my ankle if I don't hold them up... Hanes, pay attention to all these reviews; they are almost all poor reviews. If you are outsourcing your manufacturing or elastic; find a better supplier or you will go from an American icon to..... I'm not buying Hanes any more and will tell everybody I can they shouldn't either."
