"The only drawback that I can see about this bottle is that I'm not sure I could use it with much else besides water, just because you can't have a design like this without having something inside to allow air in, which allows the fluid to flow easily out of the mouthpiece.""-- Nalgene Kids OTF: I liked the Grip N Gulp well enough to try this one with my 3-year old, but he just wasn't ready for such a fast stream of water, so I've put it on the shelf to try again in a couple of years."
"* After seeing all the reviews about mold on EVERY brand of kid's water bottle, I just had to come review this so I could say my piece."
"This means that the valve can be knocked or pushed back into the bottle from the top very easily - creating a large hole for liquid to pour out of."
"Contigo JUST came out with a new cup that has solved all of the previous model's issues so I've purchased a few of those and will not be going back to Camelbak."
"Yes, you are going to need those little straw brushes but in this day and age I feel most parents have those specialized brushes already in their arsenal from bottle and sippy cup days."
"Unlike Contigo bottles, you can remove all parts of the cap(valve, straw) so that it gets cleaned more thoroughly."

"They are (mostly) leakproof, and the only time we have had it leak considerably was when she dropped it on the floor, which pushed the mouthpiece back inside the lid a little bit, but it's so easy to just pull back out, which also makes it great for cleaning. The only drawback that I can see about this bottle is that I'm not sure I could use it with much else besides water, just because you can't have a design like this without having something inside to allow air in, which allows the fluid to flow easily out of the mouthpiece. In this case, it's a small hole covered by a little silicone piece in the top of the lid, and it would concern me that anything besides water getting in there has the potential to get pretty gross over time.""The rubber valve also molds if you aren't vigilant about cleaning it, but you can buy replacement valves... But after a couple of weeks, it started leaking, because the plastic had cracked inside the bottom part of the water bottle (where there's double plastic)... -- Nalgene Kids OTF: I liked the Grip N Gulp well enough to try this one with my 3-year old, but he just wasn't ready for such a fast stream of water, so I've put it on the shelf to try again in a couple of years."
"* After seeing all the reviews about mold on EVERY brand of kid's water bottle, I just had to come review this so I could say my piece... For an inexpensive price I bought a package of replacement bite valves because my kids will chew on the valves and eventually they leak... Get one of those little bottle brushes and really examine the bottle parts and make sure it's clean."
"I was excited to get these and so were the kiddos, but we were quickly disappointed once we started using them. The design of the lid and bite valve on the adult bottles make them almost impossible to leak or spill beyond the occasional few drops left in the top of the valve... This means that the valve can be knocked or pushed back into the bottle from the top very easily - creating a large hole for liquid to pour out of."
"CamelBak was very easy to clean as was the Contigo but the straw wouldn't stay put inside the Contigo and the Camelbak has a wider mouth for cleaning... I looked into it and apparently CamelBak knows this is an issue and offers replacements that you can buy... Contigo JUST came out with a new cup that has solved all of the previous model's issues so I've purchased a few of those and will not be going back to Camelbak."
"If you put cold fluids inside and they warm up, the increased pressure will sometimes push a little water out (or whatever beverage you put in there... The CamelBak Eddy Kids one has only a few parts that are all easy to clean and maintain... Yes, you are going to need those little straw brushes but in this day and age I feel most parents have those specialized brushes already in their arsenal from bottle and sippy cup days."
"I myself switched to CamelBak Eddy(750ml) a few weeks ago as well, and was amazed how much more water I drunk everyday. Maybe because we need to actually bite the valve when drinking and that feeling encourages us to drink more... Unlike Contigo bottles, you can remove all parts of the cap(valve, straw) so that it gets cleaned more thoroughly."

"* We ordered one of these for our ten-month-old daughter to see if she could adapt to this type of bottle better than the 360 cup, and it has worked out so well we just ordered two more! It only took her an afternoon to really get the hang of it, and now she thinks she's a complete hot shot with her very own water bottle. I like the design of these over most normal sippy cups, since it doesn't have a hard plastic mouthpiece, and is really more like a bottle with straw than a sippy, so I worry less about her teeth with it. They are (mostly) leakproof, and the only time we have had it leak considerably was when she dropped it on the floor, which pushed the mouthpiece back inside the lid a little bit, but it's so easy to just pull back out, which also makes it great for cleaning. The only drawback that I can see about this bottle is that I'm not sure I could use it with much else besides water, just because you can't have a design like this without having something inside to allow air in, which allows the fluid to flow easily out of the mouthpiece. In this case, it's a small hole covered by a little silicone piece in the top of the lid, and it would concern me that anything besides water getting in there has the potential to get pretty gross over time. We are only using them for water though, so I don't see it being a problem for us, but just an FYI for those who may want to use it for something else.""The rubber valve also molds if you aren't vigilant about cleaning it, but you can buy replacement valves... 4 stars for good all around design and that it's easy to clean, but minus 1 star for drinkability. -- Sugarbooger Flip & Sip: Someone gave this water bottle to my 10-month old, and he learned to drink from a straw immediately... But after a couple of weeks, it started leaking, because the plastic had cracked inside the bottom part of the water bottle (where there's double plastic). So I bought this one, because the first one worked so well, and after a month, it cracked too... -- Nalgene Kids OTF: I liked the Grip N Gulp well enough to try this one with my 3-year old, but he just wasn't ready for such a fast stream of water, so I've put it on the shelf to try again in a couple of years... -- CamelBak Eddy Kids: There are more parts to clean than the Nalgene Grip N Gulp, but if you're careful to clean it daily, it works really well."
"* After seeing all the reviews about mold on EVERY brand of kid's water bottle, I just had to come review this so I could say my piece. First, we had children's CamelBak bottles for 3 years now and they are great water bottles. For an inexpensive price I bought a package of replacement bite valves because my kids will chew on the valves and eventually they leak... Get one of those little bottle brushes and really examine the bottle parts and make sure it's clean... CamelBaks are great bc they really don't have a ton of parts so if you are of moderate intelligence you should be able to clean it... You will find this happens on bath toys, those bulb nose snot suckers and anything that doesn't dry off between use... Sometimes through wear and tear on the bite valve or user error putting it back together, it has leaked a bit."
"* My toddlers love drinking from my CamelBak bottles, so I bought them their own version. I was excited to get these and so were the kiddos, but we were quickly disappointed once we started using them. The design of the lid and bite valve on the adult bottles make them almost impossible to leak or spill beyond the occasional few drops left in the top of the valve... Unfortunately, the bite valve on these does not fit over an attachment in the tip of the lid like the adult version... This means that the valve can be knocked or pushed back into the bottle from the top very easily - creating a large hole for liquid to pour out of. The first time my daughter dropped hers, the valve popped loose in this way and a whole bottle of liquid poured over the kitchen floor... I'm going to put them away and probably try again when the kids are older."
"CamelBak was very easy to clean as was the Contigo but the straw wouldn't stay put inside the Contigo and the Camelbak has a wider mouth for cleaning... It's kind of like u first start dating someone and then u realize they are a terrible person after the honeymoon phase?... After about 4-6 weeks my toddler was sucking so much air with her drinks that her tummy was becoming upset. I tried to figure it out and after a few days I realized the nipple, or bit valve, was split from usage... I looked into it and apparently CamelBak knows this is an issue and offers replacements that you can buy. That's great and all but I shouldn't have to buy them so quickly after what I just paid for this cup... Contigo JUST came out with a new cup that has solved all of the previous model's issues so I've purchased a few of those and will not be going back to Camelbak."
"If you put cold fluids inside and they warm up, the increased pressure will sometimes push a little water out (or whatever beverage you put in there. ) Also, if your child takes a sip, there is always beverage left in the mouthpiece... We tried several different models of contigo brand bottles and they're all abysmal in design. Yes they are more resistant to leaks but impossible to clean and inevitably will get moldy. The CamelBak Eddy Kids one has only a few parts that are all easy to clean and maintain. The handle is sturdy and you can replace the mouth piece when needed. Yes, you are going to need those little straw brushes but in this day and age I feel most parents have those specialized brushes already in their arsenal from bottle and sippy cup days."
"We've tried numerous amount of straw cups, and this is best of all!... Other brands such as Zoli, Muchkin, first year lollacup and etc, would more or less spill... Second, kids tend to drink much more water with this bottle. I myself switched to CamelBak Eddy(750ml) a few weeks ago as well, and was amazed how much more water I drunk everyday. Maybe because we need to actually bite the valve when drinking and that feeling encourages us to drink more... Unlike Contigo bottles, you can remove all parts of the cap(valve, straw) so that it gets cleaned more thoroughly... I bought 2 replacement valve, wash it, let dry and replace every week."
