"They still are totally fine, and they haven't really come any further apart after using them literally daily this entire summer and into fall, they are holding up well.""The soft footbed is really not so different (just more cushion at first), and the foam will probably wear off with use so I'd suggest saving your pennies but it's just a matter of preference."
"I'm a constant size 8 and ordered them in dark brown in a 38 N (narrow) since I wanted them to look more chic, and they fit me perfectly( I do have a high arch)."
"When you get up to about 30 or 40 hours of wear per week, your feet will be well adjusted and you won't want to take them off."
"The Habana is a bit softer, still takes some breaking in at first but very comfortable after a few wears."
"Thats how long they lasted before they finally fell apart and he wore them daily, sometimes only around the house but they were his favorite shoes and he was so excited when he got a new pair because he didn't have the heart to throw away the older pair without getting new ones."
"I went a size down and now it's snug, that's not what this type of sandal is supposed to be, so I'm returning it for the actual size."

"A couple friends had theirs and I didn't think they were comfortable, because I am used to soft squishy inserts and flip flops(from Florida) and I wore those 90% of my life... They still are totally fine, and they haven't really come any further apart after using them literally daily this entire summer and into fall, they are holding up well... It was shiny and you could tell it was on there, but it had gotten wet several times and it sort of came off a bit.""W will be for "wide," and this is only for extra wide feet (if you need to buy your shoes in wide sizes)... The soft footbed is really not so different (just more cushion at first), and the foam will probably wear off with use so I'd suggest saving your pennies but it's just a matter of preference. These shoes are worth every dime--took me just a few days to break in and they are the most comfortable shoes I own."
"I'm a constant size 8 and ordered them in dark brown in a 38 N (narrow) since I wanted them to look more chic, and they fit me perfectly( I do have a high arch)... I want to buy another pair maybe in black and I'll try a 39 N this time cuz the idea of wearing them with socks in the winter sounds cozy. But I live in Southern California so wearing them without socks is something I can do year around."
"Because I wear Birkenstocks five or six days a week, my feet are already well adjusted to the high and VERY firm arch support of the Arizona sandals... However, if you are new to Birks, start with wearing just two hours a day and work up week by week... When you get up to about 30 or 40 hours of wear per week, your feet will be well adjusted and you won't want to take them off."
"* According to the Birkenstock sizing chart, I would wear a size 39 but those were an inch too long for me. Also, I find that their medium width sandals are way too wide... The Habana is a bit softer, still takes some breaking in at first but very comfortable after a few wears."
"Thats how long they lasted before they finally fell apart and he wore them daily, sometimes only around the house but they were his favorite shoes and he was so excited when he got a new pair because he didn't have the heart to throw away the older pair without getting new ones... I have a pair myself, they are half a size too small but Im 26 and I've had mine since I was 16 and they are great... But they are fantastic shoes and will last you over a decade if you take care of them."
"I went a size down and now it's snug, that's not what this type of sandal is supposed to be, so I'm returning it for the actual size... I've been wearing it for several months now, and the leather part keeps expanding! It's really loose on my feet now that I can't even walk normally!"

"A couple friends had theirs and I didn't think they were comfortable, because I am used to soft squishy inserts and flip flops(from Florida) and I wore those 90% of my life... I walk on the inside of my feet, and my hips, lower back and knees, especially hips and knees, hurt by the end of the day, or even a couple hours into the day... For example, I walked down to a shop and back, wearing these, and it was about 4 miles round trip... They still are totally fine, and they haven't really come any further apart after using them literally daily this entire summer and into fall, they are holding up well... I did notice that all of my shoes I wear the back inside of the heel, because of how I walk... I've had little sharp bits from plants get stuck and pierce the bottom of the material, but they are thick and it doesn't really matter... It was shiny and you could tell it was on there, but it had gotten wet several times and it sort of came off a bit.""Some things to know about Birks: USE THEIR SIZING GUIDE ON THEIR WEBSITE They are pretty spot on... N is "narrow," which I would only suggest if you have abnormally narrow or very small feet. Birks are meant to spread your toes, which is why they seem wide at first. W will be for "wide," and this is only for extra wide feet (if you need to buy your shoes in wide sizes). BREAKING THEM IN They will NOT be comfortable the first few times... The soft footbed is really not so different (just more cushion at first), and the foam will probably wear off with use so I'd suggest saving your pennies but it's just a matter of preference. These shoes are worth every dime--took me just a few days to break in and they are the most comfortable shoes I own."
"They arrived at my office and I put them on immediately and wore them all day with zero problems... I bring both my Huskys to work with me and take them on random walks through out the day without any problems from my new Birkenstocks... I'm a constant size 8 and ordered them in dark brown in a 38 N (narrow) since I wanted them to look more chic, and they fit me perfectly( I do have a high arch). I probably couldn't wear them with socks though(bummer) its that perfect of a fit for me. I want to buy another pair maybe in black and I'll try a 39 N this time cuz the idea of wearing them with socks in the winter sounds cozy. But I live in Southern California so wearing them without socks is something I can do year around. As long as you get the perfect size you will love them."
"I wear a medium width in men's dress shoes but the NARROW width suede Arizona is a good fit. The suede straps stretch with wear so in a month or so I will need to punch holes in the straps to get a snugger fit. Most women and many men will get their best fit with the NARROW width. Because I wear Birkenstocks five or six days a week, my feet are already well adjusted to the high and VERY firm arch support of the Arizona sandals... However, if you are new to Birks, start with wearing just two hours a day and work up week by week... When you get up to about 30 or 40 hours of wear per week, your feet will be well adjusted and you won't want to take them off... You will get many years of comfortable wear."
"* According to the Birkenstock sizing chart, I would wear a size 39 but those were an inch too long for me. Also, I find that their medium width sandals are way too wide... And the fit is really important to get right with these sandals. When you get the correct fit, it's true what others say in regards to relieving foot pain... I can wear these sandals all day long and my feet feel great... The amalfi leather is more visually appealing (if you love leather) but I found it to be way too stiff. The Habana is a bit softer, still takes some breaking in at first but very comfortable after a few wears."
"* I got these for my big brother for his birthday and he LOVES them... He had been wearing the same ones since his junior or senior year of High School. Thats how long they lasted before they finally fell apart and he wore them daily, sometimes only around the house but they were his favorite shoes and he was so excited when he got a new pair because he didn't have the heart to throw away the older pair without getting new ones. This style was rather hard to find. I have a pair myself, they are half a size too small but Im 26 and I've had mine since I was 16 and they are great. I don't wear them nearly as often as he does because of the sizing, my mom got them while my feet were still growing I guess. But they are fantastic shoes and will last you over a decade if you take care of them."
"I went a size down and now it's snug, that's not what this type of sandal is supposed to be, so I'm returning it for the actual size... It's still lovely, but if they don't have the color then they shouldn't suggest it. If my intention was to buy such a dull color, then there were cheaper options of the same brand in other stores... I've been wearing it for several months now, and the leather part keeps expanding! It's really loose on my feet now that I can't even walk normally! It's a surprise sine I live in a small apartment and it probably had the least wear an indoor sandal could have. I'm thinking to make another hole on the strap but then I'd have to cut the the other end!"
