"* I believe many others have my experience --- after years of using this and trying others, it's clear that it works much better than all the others for small wound management... ) I've even found that with this on a finger if I take a shower and leave it on --- and it gets wet, it stays on, dries, and continues to do its job well. It's ironic that I find it hard to find this time-proven superior product in retailers like chain pharmacies, supermarkets, etc, where there seems to be a propensity to promote new or store brand products which are clearly not as good.""This is the best size for most cuts (you can always cut in in half lengthwise for a smaller bandage)... I tried generic versions, other brand names but none compare in keeping blood where it belongs, inside the band-aid, without leaking... This brand name may be a couple of dollars more than others but the savings come back to you in using less over time."
"I also made a little larger first aid kits with some tins purchased here on amazon that are just a bit larger than an altoid tin... I even give kits away for free to my girlfriends, and we plan to make mini kits with the neighborhood kids this summer excluding some of the items I have pictured which are not appropriate for kids to handle.... mostly they will have bandaids, lip balm, etc - we will let their parents decide what goes in their kit."
"But it BREATHES and THAT is the good thing about Band-Aid's flexible fabric bandages... HOWEVER, there are times with a regular cut, like in the kitchen, when one cannot stop everything to put on new medication and a new band-aid... Now, the BIGGER ones, like this particular one is, YES, change the bandage every time, but for finger wounds..."
"* This is a brand name Band-Aid with flexible fabric and apparently designed to only be used for one day. I say that because the adhesive is great, but I've only worn one large one wrapped around my left thumb for testing purposes, and it's already fraying in less than 2 hours... I transfer all the bandages to a metal container one of my own, so if you are concerned about the box getting smashed, don't buy this."
"Most of it is trimming bushes and trees in the landscaped areas but I also have to trim mangroves to maintain our view and remove invasive plants that try to take over the wetlands. So I work with a lot of sharp tools and do battle with Florida flora -- most of which seems to have some protective thorns or spines to keep you away from them... My wife, an ARNP, does her best to dig these out at home, and then applies a coal tar that helps pull out the tip, covering the wound with one of these industrial strength Band-Aids."
"* The flexible fabric Band-Aids are very comfortable and don't seem to irritate my skin the way some of the more plastic-y Band-Aids or bandages do. They also stick better than many other adhesive bandages do, and will stay on for a long time (at least an entire day) if they stay very dry... In a perfect world, there would be a Band-Aid as comfortable as these flexible fabric ones are that also is as heavy duty as a Band-Aid Tough Strip."

It's ironic that I find it hard to find this time-proven superior product in retailers like chain pharmacies, supermarkets, etc, where there seems to be a propensity to promote new or store brand products which are clearly not as good. This is a good example of how people are driven to buy basic things they need from Amazon and it's associates instead of from local stores... It's flimsy, and when it arrived it wassn't in sufficient packaging IF it's important to you that the box isn't crushed. For me IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE, because I don't store these in the origninal box anyway... The retail box is inside a semi-protective but flexible air-tube protector, which is inside a flexible bag (like the kind you might ship a pair of socks in these days.""* This was the very first time I was able to retain, actually make use of, the thin cardboard carton that contains Band-Aids... I've ordered this exact item direct from Amazon as well as from other online merchants and in all other cases ended up with scrunched or unusable boxes. As to the product itself, I've been buying Band-aid's flexible fabric adhesive for years, sized 1"x3", 100 count. This is the best size for most cuts (you can always cut in in half lengthwise for a smaller bandage)... I tried generic versions, other brand names but none compare in keeping blood where it belongs, inside the band-aid, without leaking. It doesn't rip hair away when you remove it from your skin... "It's nice because we all have Altoid Tin first aid kits for purses. I also made a little larger first aid kits with some tins purchased here on amazon that are just a bit larger than an altoid tin... I can't begin to tell you how handy this has been in just the month or so we have been carrying first aid kits... I do have a few more items on order and there is plenty of room in my tin to add a few more things (additional bandages, pepto bismol, tylenol, benadryl, etc. ) My 14 year old son was helping me cook and got a small burn on his hand while taking something out of the oven."
"FABRIC flexible bandages by Band-Aid have come in handy more than a couple of times! The fabric is FAR better looking than regular plastic bandages. But it BREATHES and THAT is the good thing about Band-Aid's flexible fabric bandages. We buy them in ALL sizes, the one inch size in 100 pack size... When I had MAJOR back surgery, the bandages were NOT kept on very long at all......
I say that because the adhesive is great, but I've only worn one large one wrapped around my left thumb for testing purposes, and it's already fraying in less than 2 hours. Not a problem for me, as I still had my dominant right hand available to trim the fraying threads with a small pair of scissors... If I was actually protecting a cut or burn, I'd be changing the bandage at least once a day for best hygiene, and at this low, low price point of under $6 including tax/shipping, it's a bargain. It came in the standard cardboard box as shown, and survived surprisingly well considering it was simply shoved into a large, bubble wrap type padded mailing envelope. I transfer all the bandages to a metal container one of my own, so if you are concerned about the box getting smashed, don't buy this. If all you really need are a good price on lots of assorted size bandages that include junior sizes (hard to find!"
"Most of it is trimming bushes and trees in the landscaped areas but I also have to trim mangroves to maintain our view and remove invasive plants that try to take over the wetlands. So I work with a lot of sharp tools and do battle with Florida flora -- most of which seems to have some protective thorns or spines to keep you away from them. The worst of them can puncture combat boots (Reclinata Palms) and slip through gloves (Bayonet Plant) and break their tips off under your skin... Failure to do so means a trip to the ER where they will do the digging for you, at great expense and a considerable amount of your time. My wife, an ARNP, does her best to dig these out at home, and then applies a coal tar that helps pull out the tip, covering the wound with one of these industrial strength Band-Aids. Of course I occasionally fall in the wetlands and get cut on the bushes I've already trimmed and on occasion I'll suffer a spring back and hit myself with one of my machetes or hatchets... It's kind of like Lay's Potato Chips, you can't use just one!"
