Purina Veterinary Diets Fortiflora Canine, 30 Sachets Per Box

Very Quick

"simply put them on this product for a month, and you'll never know what sort of issues you never had to deal with."

"While the first purchase from our vet cost us about 10$ for 5 small packets, we thought there was no way to keep up with that type of price tag as a preventative."

"It comes in a pouch that I just added to their dry food and a little water--the Fortiflora makes the water a little 'gravy' like and they both ate it daily with no problems."

"One of my dogs has a very sensitive digestive system, but he still does just about everything he can to cause himself distress: getting into the garbage, eating weird stuff in the yard, drinking from standing pools of rainwater, raiding the pantry."

"the last episode was she drank some uncleaned water and the next day she had excessive mucus on her poops + diarrhea."

"The first vet I took him too was unfamiliar with this issue and kept putting him on antibiotics and said he would have to remain on them permanently to stop the constant diarrhea."

"The day after sprinkling a packet on his food, he had solid poop."

"If antibiotics have been used, they unquestionably need a few days of probiotic to help straighten their gut out afterwords... simply put them on this product for a month, and you'll never know what sort of issues you never had to deal with... I'm just saying, I would think there would be something else that would rival this single product's success rate, but I have yet to find it."

"I have an 8 month old Alaskan Klee Kai, and based on the information from our breeder, this type of dog tends to be sensitive to high protein foods. After our first incident with week long uncontrollable diarrhea our vet recommended giving our dog FortiFlora every so often to help balance his digestive system... While the first purchase from our vet cost us about 10$ for 5 small packets, we thought there was no way to keep up with that type of price tag as a preventative."

"You do have to give it about 30 days of treatment before you really see total results. It comes in a pouch that I just added to their dry food and a little water--the Fortiflora makes the water a little 'gravy' like and they both ate it daily with no problems... On a side note: my vet is now selling this in his office but the same size box (30 pouches) was charged at $40--so Amazon is way cheaper!"

"One of my dogs has a very sensitive digestive system, but he still does just about everything he can to cause himself distress: getting into the garbage, eating weird stuff in the yard, drinking from standing pools of rainwater, raiding the pantry. Medicine from the vet and a special diet gets his tummy back in order, but until then we have to endure his gas, spitting up, and diarrhea... My dogs are willing to eat their dry food with this supplement simply sprinkled on top, must not taste too bad to them!"

"the last episode was she drank some uncleaned water and the next day she had excessive mucus on her poops + diarrhea... It works very well on my dog, although I never tried to give FF on a daily basic because I have read about the potential of "overgrown" of the bacteria... This save me expensive vet trip and time, and I can't save enough how appreciated and satisfied I'm with this product!"

"The first vet I took him too was unfamiliar with this issue and kept putting him on antibiotics and said he would have to remain on them permanently to stop the constant diarrhea... Said to give him the probiotic a forti flora, I started the next morning and he did make improvements... It is natural like eating yogurt but in order to stay away from the dairy products this is an alternative."

"My dog has IBS and has never had a solid poop, even with being on a very expensive prescription diet. The day after sprinkling a packet on his food, he had solid poop... This has been great for my guy who has the MOST sensitive stomach I have ever seen!!!"

"Occasionally (maybe 10% of the time), the stool will become noticeable softer, or even runny after the first dose, but it always clears right up, or at least starts going the other way after the second dose..... Start using a day or two before making food changes, then through the change period (which should be several days to a couple of weeks), and until stool looks good again... I read other reviews telling of changing from one food to another, and then another trying to deal with diarrhea... If antibiotics have been used, they unquestionably need a few days of probiotic to help straighten their gut out afterwords... simply put them on this product for a month, and you'll never know what sort of issues you never had to deal with. The odd thing to me is that this remains the only product, out of all those other similar products, that always works on every dog I have ever used it with. I'm just saying, I would think there would be something else that would rival this single product's success rate, but I have yet to find it."

"I have an 8 month old Alaskan Klee Kai, and based on the information from our breeder, this type of dog tends to be sensitive to high protein foods. After our first incident with week long uncontrollable diarrhea our vet recommended giving our dog FortiFlora every so often to help balance his digestive system. He explained that this product could be used similarly to the way humans eat yogurt to stay regular - Activia anyone?... While the first purchase from our vet cost us about 10$ for 5 small packets, we thought there was no way to keep up with that type of price tag as a preventative... I feed it to my dog once every 2-3 days with some wet food as a treat. He loves it and we haven't had any more diarrhea since!... If you have a dog that has even a remotely sensitive stomach, I highly recommend this product."

"One is on chemo for cancer and this stuff works to keep her from having soft stools... My other lab had a lip infection requiring 2 rounds of antibiotics that gave him severe diarrhea. After 1 month of Fortiflora his poop is now normal again! You do have to give it about 30 days of treatment before you really see total results. It comes in a pouch that I just added to their dry food and a little water--the Fortiflora makes the water a little 'gravy' like and they both ate it daily with no problems. I highly recommend it but please give it time to work in their systems...

Medicine from the vet and a special diet gets his tummy back in order, but until then we have to endure his gas, spitting up, and diarrhea. Last year the vet suggested using FortiFlora as a supplement, and it's made a real difference. Getting into mischief now usually means a slightly softer stool for a day and that's about it... My vet also suggested giving this to my storm-anxiety dog when there is bad weather forecast, since the stress often gives him a sour stomach. One packet a day for a period of time is the recommended dose: I do that when there's a problem, then scale back to every other day or so as maintenance. My dogs are willing to eat their dry food with this supplement simply sprinkled on top, must not taste too bad to them!"

"I have an adopted Poodle Mix female 5 years old... the last episode was she drank some uncleaned water and the next day she had excessive mucus on her poops + diarrhea. Of course this totally drained her energy and she appeared very sick... This happened in the morning, so I gave her one dosage immediately during her evening meal, and she's back to normal an hour later!! I am giving her another dosage the next day, just to make sure her system is getting even better... It works very well on my dog, although I never tried to give FF on a daily basic because I have read about the potential of "overgrown" of the bacteria... This save me expensive vet trip and time, and I can't save enough how appreciated and satisfied I'm with this product!"

"The first vet I took him too was unfamiliar with this issue and kept putting him on antibiotics and said he would have to remain on them permanently to stop the constant diarrhea. For a time it helped but after awhile he became immune to the antibiotics. When I took him back in to see the vet, he wanted to do a liver test which was a hundred dollars as this antibiotic could cause liver damage.... Said to give him the probiotic a forti flora, I started the next morning and he did make improvements. As my vet explained to me these are not antibiotics and don't destroy the good flora in his intestines. The antibiotic will destroy all the flora and if he becomes immune to the antibiotic he has nothing to help him when he needs it... It is natural like eating yogurt but in order to stay away from the dairy products this is an alternative."
