I will only purchase Dixon Ticonderoga pencils for my kids to use at school and to use at home. I think some people believe they are saving money when they purchase a less expensive pencil but that is not the case, the sharpener will eat the cheaper pencils up quickly which leads you having to purchase more pencils."

"The Dixon Ticonderoga pencil is by far the best pencil on the market. These pencils are requested by most teachers for a very good reasons, they are made well. I have two kids in elementary school and all their current teachers and teachers from past grades have requested we buy these pencils because they don't break easily, the sharpener won't eat them up in one or two sharpening, and the lead is solid. We have used other pencils, brand name pencils, and they just don't hold up like they used to. The erasers are great too, they leave no flakes when used and do not smear the lead when you erase letters or words. I will only purchase Dixon Ticonderoga pencils for my kids to use at school and to use at home. I think some people believe they are saving money when they purchase a less expensive pencil but that is not the case, the sharpener will eat the cheaper pencils up quickly which leads you having to purchase more pencils."
