ASICS Women's GEL-Noosa Tri 9 Running Shoe

Very Quick

"I think the problem with these is that they're narrower, though they may seem comfortable at first but once you try putting some real miles on them...."

"I tried on my other Asics (different style) and had enough room in the toes that I was willing to try my usual size 8 knowing that it might be a bit smaller."

"When I first slid my foot in the shoe it did feel a little tight, but after wearing to Zumba and back, they felt even better."

"THEN, like an idiot, I took another chance and ordered a size 9; I was determined to find my size because these seem very comfortable, well-made, supportive and the Black/Neon Coral/Green design is just awesome."

"I spent most of my youth wearing boys shoes as they didn't make girls/women's skateboarding shoes back then and thought my foot was on the wide side as a result."

"I won't like and say my feet weren't tired by the end of the night, but these shoes totally provided adequate support."

"This shoe was short on my foot, with maybe 1/3 of an inch between my big toe and the toe end of the shoe, which is much too short for running."

"I was a bit skeptical about ordering these since most of the reviews mentioned that they run small... I've had a chance to put some real miles into these bad boys and I can't tell you how many blisters I've gotten from running just 3+ miles... I think the problem with these is that they're narrower, though they may seem comfortable at first but once you try putting some real miles on them...."

"I tried on my other Asics (different style) and had enough room in the toes that I was willing to try my usual size 8 knowing that it might be a bit smaller. They definitely feel much more snug than my others, but my toes are not smushed into the toe-box... Before committing to them 100% I will be wearing them inside the house this evening to make sure, but as it stands I think these are keepers!"

"A friend of mine had been wearing the Asic Gel-Noosa TRi 9 to work and said she had gotten many compliments... I had loved the way that they looked, but was skeptical about ordering any type of shoes on line... When I first slid my foot in the shoe it did feel a little tight, but after wearing to Zumba and back, they felt even better."

"The ASICS website (along with a few other running sites) all recommended these Gel-Noosa Tri 9s for over-pronators like me. Unfortunately I won't ever know how good they are - my usual size (size 8) is WAY too small (I should have read more reviews)... THEN, like an idiot, I took another chance and ordered a size 9; I was determined to find my size because these seem very comfortable, well-made, supportive and the Black/Neon Coral/Green design is just awesome."

"I was worried because I had been holding them in my card for at least a year and hoping they would go down in price a little... 5-8 US, 38 EU (39 if I want to wear athletic/wool socks) and a 5 UK (I can wear a 6 UK but they are usually too big - unless it is a multi-eyed Dr Marten's boot)... I spent most of my youth wearing boys shoes as they didn't make girls/women's skateboarding shoes back then and thought my foot was on the wide side as a result."

"Please do yourself a favor and order at least a half size up, or else these will not fit at all... I won't like and say my feet weren't tired by the end of the night, but these shoes totally provided adequate support... Also, two days prior I went to the gym and did about 45 minutes on the elliptical."

"This shoe was short on my foot, with maybe 1/3 of an inch between my big toe and the toe end of the shoe, which is much too short for running... There was no way these shoes would have been comfortable during any kind of run, short or long. I considered exchanging them for a full size up, but considering how narrow they felt and how short they were, I decided to return them and go with a different style of ASICS."

Less Quick

"I was a bit skeptical about ordering these since most of the reviews mentioned that they run small... I went on a few runs, first few minutes they felt a little tight toward the toes but after a while they fit better... 5 fit perfect for me, size 9 would have been too big and lose and size 8 would have been painfully small. I'm going to give these a couple more miles, I may grab another pair to leave at the office so I can run during lunch hours... I've had a chance to put some real miles into these bad boys and I can't tell you how many blisters I've gotten from running just 3+ miles... I've decided not to run in these any more and keep them as walking shoes since they are super light... I think the problem with these is that they're narrower, though they may seem comfortable at first but once you try putting some real miles on them...."

"I tried on my other Asics (different style) and had enough room in the toes that I was willing to try my usual size 8 knowing that it might be a bit smaller. They definitely feel much more snug than my others, but my toes are not smushed into the toe-box. They do feel a bit more narrow as well, but like the way this style is supposed to fit..... Before committing to them 100% I will be wearing them inside the house this evening to make sure, but as it stands I think these are keepers! My bit of advise would be to use another pair of Asics (if you have them) as a reference..... I think I remember reading that some reviews stating that people had trouble with having to pay for returns... I don't know if this is a more recent policy, but in the case of a return you can't get much more convenient than that."

"I ordered these shoes after experiencing extensive feet and knee pain over a period of time... My regular sneakers did not seem to have the cushioning nor support that I felt was needed. A friend of mine had been wearing the Asic Gel-Noosa TRi 9 to work and said she had gotten many compliments. She sported the ones with the black multi color and believe me she could not say enough good things about her shoes. I had loved the way that they looked, but was skeptical about ordering any type of shoes on line. After reading alot of the reviews and still dealing with aching knees and feet, I finally broke down... When I first slid my foot in the shoe it did feel a little tight, but after wearing to Zumba and back, they felt even better."

"My last 3 pairs were all ASICS: the GT-1000 and GT-2000 most recently, all of which I loved. The ASICS website (along with a few other running sites) all recommended these Gel-Noosa Tri 9s for over-pronators like me. Unfortunately I won't ever know how good they are - my usual size (size 8) is WAY too small (I should have read more reviews)... 5 as a replacement - the left shoe fit perfect, the right was too snug in the toe box as many have stated. THEN, like an idiot, I took another chance and ordered a size 9; I was determined to find my size because these seem very comfortable, well-made, supportive and the Black/Neon Coral/Green design is just awesome... The right shoe is now too large and my heel slips when I walk... I have always been a size 8, and while I don't mind changing that to find a good fit, I am burned out on ASICS at this point."

"I was worried because I had been holding them in my card for at least a year and hoping they would go down in price a little... Everyone said that you should order a half size up but I did not experience that issue... 5-8 US, 38 EU (39 if I want to wear athletic/wool socks) and a 5 UK (I can wear a 6 UK but they are usually too big - unless it is a multi-eyed Dr Marten's boot). I noticed that the box stated these shoes were a 39... 5 in Toms, 5 UK in Dr Martens (unless it is a tall boot then it would be a 6 UK), 8 US women's in Chacos, 6 US men in DCs, 5 US men in Vans, 6 US men in Converse (5 US men is okay but a little snug, especially if they are purchased on Ebay from China) and a 7... It is hard to order shoes online and I am happy I didn't take the advice from others and order ... I spent most of my youth wearing boys shoes as they didn't make girls/women's skateboarding shoes back then and thought my foot was on the wide side as a result."

"Please do yourself a favor and order at least a half size up, or else these will not fit at all. I will update this as I've worn them longer... I won't like and say my feet weren't tired by the end of the night, but these shoes totally provided adequate support... Also, two days prior I went to the gym and did about 45 minutes on the elliptical. Other than the new-shoe blues kind of thing (not broken in), no pain or discomfort whatsoever. Felt very cushioned and after loosening laces the way I wanted, quite comfortable. If I find anything negative about these shoes I'll definitely update again, but so far, loving it."

"The mid sole is made of a hard, stiff plastic which is perfect to provide grip on the pedals of the bike, but different from a typical soft soled running shoe... The mesh type material the upper is constructed of consists of a well thought out pattern of smallish holes to facilitate the breathability and dryness of your feet during any running or tri activity... I know that ASICS can run small, so I ordered a size 8. This shoe was short on my foot, with maybe 1/3 of an inch between my big toe and the toe end of the shoe, which is much too short for running. I found that the shoe felt narrow also, even after I had loosened the laces. There was no way these shoes would have been comfortable during any kind of run, short or long. I considered exchanging them for a full size up, but considering how narrow they felt and how short they were, I decided to return them and go with a different style of ASICS."
